Don’t Forget to Pack These Strange Items for Disney World This Week

So you’re headed to Disney World this week?

Hot cocoa weather is coming to Disney World

Your planning is done, you’ve made your park pass reservations, you’ve checked park hours, your advance dining reservations are made, and all that’s left is to start packing for your trip. But before you start knocking off things on that packing list, are you packing the one thing you might not THINK to pack?

One thing that we will recommend is keeping an eye on the weather when you visit Disney World. This time of the year can be WET (well, it might rain at least once during EVERY Disney World trip — that’s just how it usually works out), but it can also be COLD. You might not think it can get cold in Florida, but it DOES!

It’s fuzzy sweater season

We recently looked at the forecast for next week, and although the highs (low to upper 70s) seem pretty nice, it’s those mornings you’re going to have to look out for. The lows are in the 40s and 50s, and although Midwesterners might laugh at those temps, you would be surprised at just how cold that feels in Florida, where it’s almost always hot and humid. That damp cold will seep into your bones and keep you shivering if you’re not prepared.

So be sure to pack some warmer layers in your suitcase. Think hoodies, long-sleeve shirts that you can pare under t-shirts (or just long-sleeve shirts, in general), jackets, gloves, and caps (keeping your head warm will keep the rest of you warm). You can always strip those layers off once things warm up later in the day.

A beanie will keep your head warm

So add that to your packing list and you’ll be prepared for the next few days. Things will warm back up later in the week, so you won’t be cold during your WHOLE trip, but you’ll thank us later for the heads up.
