Disneyland Resort has its share of holiday traditions that we always love seeing this time of year.

We love attending the Disney California Adventure Festival of the Holidays. We also love seeing the characters in their holiday outfits. We also love all the holiday treats! But one of the most special events during the holidays is the Candlelight Processional — and we were there for the first one of the year!

We got ready by taking our seats –– the Candlelight Processional takes place in front of the Main Street U.S.A. Railroad Station in Disneyland.

Then it was time for the live orchestra to begin…

…followed by a live chorus singing Christmas carols!

There was even a chorus of live trumpeters ringing in the season.

During this time, a celebrity narrator comes out and tells the story of Christmas. When we attended, we got to hear the award-winning actress Viola Davis! Needless to say, this is one event you don’t want to miss if you’re visiting Disneyland during the holidays.
