Who Knew Cranberry-Flavored BBQ Sauce Could Be SO Good? Disney, Disney Did

Festive decor? ✅Ears themed to the season? ✅ A reindeer sipper cup?! ✅ Disneyland has it all…and now it has holiday SNACKS too!

Sleeping Beauty Castle during the holidays

Over at Disney California Adventure, there are plenty of holiday snacks to pick up thanks to the Festival of Holidays. But Disneyland hasn’t been left out of the fun! At this park, you can now find maple Mickey beignets, a funnel cake that seems confused(!), and more. Getting hungry yet? Well, you’ve been warned! We’re visiting one Disneyland snack spot now to try even MORE treats (and these will get your stomach rumbling).

Over at Galactic Grill in Disneyland Park, you’ll find some limited-time holiday snacks.

Our Spread

First up, we grabbed the Cranberry BBQ Chicken Sandwich. This is a fried chicken sandwich with cranberry-flavored BBQ sauce, provolone, an onion ring, arugula, and citrus bacon aïoli served on a toasted brioche bun.

This comes with a choice of Greek yogurt or fries and is priced at $13.79. It’s available from November 11th, 2022 through January 8th, 2023.

WOWZA

This sandwich was GREAT! The chicken and onion rings were fried wonderfully and had a great crunch to them. They weren’t overly greasy, so that was great. The chicken was also soft and juicy. Pair that with a soft bun and fresh veggies, and you’ve got one tasty dish!

We’ll Take Another, Please

We especially liked the cranberry-flavored barbecue sauce. It was tangy and sweet, with a slight vinegary flavor to it. Our one complaint? There was so little of the sauce and it was sort of absorbed into the bun by the time we got it, so the taste wasn’t as pronounced. We’d definitely love to see more of the sauce included in this sandwich in the future.

Getting Hungry Yet?

Overall, we’d consider this snack a WIN and we’d happily take an extra amount of that sauce for dunking in the future.

YUM

Next up we grabbed the Christmas Punch. This drink is made with pomegranate, cranberry, and orange juices with Sprite served over ice and garnished with fresh pomegranate seeds, cranberries, and a rosemary sprig. It’s priced at $5.49 and is available from November 11th through January 8th.

Christmas Punch, Anyone?

The drink was light and refreshing, which we really liked. It was more tart than sweet, likely thanks to some of the juices used in it. And it had a slight amount of fizz thanks to the Sprite included in the drink. This was another winner. Though not necessarily something that’ll totally blow your mind, it was tasty!

Our Punch

Also available at Galactic Grill is a treat called A Cup of Cheer. It’s made with orange cranberry cake with cream cheese icing topped with an orange cream-filled cream puff, dried cranberries, and holiday sprinkles. It’s priced at $6.99 and is available from November 11th through January 8th.

We didn’t grab this particular treat on our most recent trip, but if you give it a try, be sure to drop a comment below and tell us your thoughts!

Again, remember that these are not the only treats available in Disneyland for the holiday season.
