A Recent Change Could Mean Price INCREASES on Florida Gas

As gas prices fall nationwide, one state won’t be feeling the relief.

Rising gas prices might affect your next Disney World trip

Florida residents can expect to see price increases at the pump this week thanks to a tax suspension.

On October 1st of this year, gasoline prices dropped roughly 25 cents per gallon due to a tax holiday scheduled to last until November 1st. It’s now the end of the month and the suspension has not been extended, so we are anticipating a big spike in prices this week.

We might see less traffic on the roads as people try to save gas (and money!)

ClickOrlando detailed how the holiday gave a discount to drivers across the state throughout the month of October, with AAA estimating it saved drivers 25 cents per gallon. According to AAA, today’s average cost for a gallon of gasoline in Florida is $3.29, well below the national average of $3.76. Unfortunately, it looks like those low prices won’t last long.

We’ll be watching to see how Florida’s gas prices are impacted by the end of this tax holiday.

If you are planning a trip to Disney World in the near future and will be driving your own vehicle or renting, make sure to include this price increase in your budget. Even those who won’t be driving, keep in mind you may see price hikes for rideshares to offset the rising cost of gas.

Even rideshare apps might charge more to offset costs
