8 Disney World Construction UPDATES To Check Out Before Your Next Trip

It’s finally that season — no, we’re not talking about fall!

It’s Halloween time!

We’re talking about the season of change, and it’s been the season of change in Disney World for a WHILE. Between new restaurants, new attractions, and even more experiences coming to the parks — no two visits are alike right now. Luckily, we do all the hard work and keep track of it all, so let’s check out the biggest Disney World construction updates from this week!

Magic Kingdom

Center Street

Construction is continuing on Center Street in Magic Kingdom, and it looks like things are moving slowly but surely.

We spotted some fresh bricks that had been laid down last week, but it doesn’t look like much has changed since then.

Fantasyland Train Station

A tall green scrim is up at the Fantasyland Train Station, so this spot is getting some love as well! The Walt Disney World Railroad has been out of commission for over three years, so we’ll take any signs of progress we can get at this point.

TRON: Lightcycle Run

Over at TRON, it looks like crews might be nearly done with laying the concrete out in front of the canopy.

We saw quite a few crew members at work on our recent PeopleMover ride, so hopefully that’s a sign of some good progress!

EPCOT

PLAY! Pavilion

We spotted some workers on top of the PLAY! Pavilion not too long ago.

The PLAY! Pavilion is supposed to be an immersive and innovative indoor area, but Disney has been quiet about it for quite some time now.

Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana

More exciting elements have moved in to the Moana attraction construction zone — we think we spy some sort of large white branched structures over on the right side of the below photo!

We’ll continue to keep an eye out for the latest progress on this attraction, so stay tuned!

Keystone Clothiers

A green wall has been installed over at the facade of Keystone Clothiers.

A portion of the building’s exterior decor fell off recently, and it seems Disney is in the process of fixing it!

Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ

Not much has changed over at Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ from this angle…

…but we did get some pretty cool aerial shots from @bioreconstruct on Twitter! You can see some of the construction taking place behind the green scrim and fence.

It looks like the sidewalk has been completed, and Disney is starting to work on the upper left corner of the “backyard!”

Disney Resorts

Wilderness Lodge

And finally, we spotted some construction walls up in the lobby of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort when we stopped by the other day! We’ll keep an eye on this and let you know of any changes.
