Disney World’s NEW Oogie Boogie Nachos Are Not What You Think

We don’t care what anyone says, it’s time to start celebrating Halloween!

Mickey, WE LOVE YA

Well, Disney World agrees with us because they’ve already put up decorations, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in full swing, and spooky treats are already out. Naturally, we couldn’t turn down an opportunity to eat a The Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie Boogie-themed snack, so come along with us and find out how much of a “nightmare” (get it??) it was!

It’s time for a spooky treat! We visited Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs to try the new DOLE Whip Oogie Boogie Nachos for $8.99. They’re sweet “nachos,” made with Pistachio Soft-Serve, Strawberry Boba Pearls, Chocolate Curls, Gummy Worms, Orange Sprinkles, a White Chocolate Oogie Boogie Medallion, and Waffle Cone Chips.

Oogie Boogie Nachos!

We LOVED the pistachio soft-serve, but we want to note that it wasn’t super creamy and it had more of an icy consistency. The worms were fun yet didn’t really work with the taste of the soft serve, but overall the portion size of the treat was great and it could be easily shared with a friend (or two). Sadly, our nachos were missing the boba pearls.

Aesthetically, we loved the look of this treat, but being in Florida it melted faster than the speed of light, and then the waffle chips got soggy sitting in the melted soft-serve. If you don’t want soggy waffle chips, you might want to eat them first or just take your treat somewhere air-conditioned.

We loved how colorful and creepy this was, and it would be a really cute treat for kids (as long as there are no nut allergies!). If you’re in the mood for something creamy or decadent, however, you might want to try something else — maybe the Oh My Gourd Cupcake would hit the spot?
