The Disney World Float With a MAJOR Identity Crisis

August in Disney World actually doesn’t mark the end of summer. Instead, it marks the beginning of the Halloween season. And after a few MIA years, Disney World’s iconic Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back in action.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

We are at the party making sure you have alllllll the details on the parade, the characters, the trick or treating, the fireworks, the shows, the ride overlays, and of course, the SNACKS! Disney likes to shake things up in terms of food when it comes to parties and events, so we are back with another review of a treat that has a flavor combo that might raise eyebrows.

Over at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland, you will find the Jack-O-Lantern Float. Sounds quite festive right?! And we agree. We had to hustle over here to try this float out, not for the cute theming but for the flavor combination.

Jack-O-Lantern Float

The Jack-O-Lantern Float is Citrus Swirl with Fanta Orange. But get this, it’s topped with graham cracker crumbles. The description is intriguing, to say the least.

At the very least, it looks pretty!

So how do all of these flavors come together? Well, overall, we enjoyed this treat! The flavor combinations all worked very well together. The orange flavor was kind of overpowering thanks to the soda, so if you’re not someone who likes citrus or orange flavors, you may not like this, however, the vanilla flavors really helped to balance it out. The Fanta soda also makes the treat very refreshing, but, for a fall treat, it’s pretty summery — which makes sense, since we ARE celebrating Halloween in August.

It’s pretty summery tasting!

So what about the graham cracker crumble on top? When we first tasted this treat, the graham cracker crumble kind of made it feel like we were eating pie, and generally, they just added a unique texture to the snack. The pie comparisons ended, however, when we got to the orange flavor from the soft-serve and Fanta soda. Due to the odd juxtaposition of flavors, it kind of seemed like this float didn’t really know what it wanted to be — but we still liked it!

Graham cracker crumbles!

This float is listed as $6.99, but when we ordered it, it rang up as $6.38, so the pricing may be slightly different during your visit. As of writing, this float can only be found during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but we will be sure to let you know if that changes at anytime this Halloween season.
