Participating in a runDisney race can be a really unique and different way to experience Disney World.

You get to be in the parks early in the morning before any guests, you may encounter some rare characters, and, at the end of the race, you get a cool medal! There are multiple runDisney events throughout the year, including the Wine and Dine race in November, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in January, the Princess Half Marathon Weekend at the beginning of the year, and more. Today, registration for an upcoming runDisney event opened.

General registration is NOW OPEN for the 2023 Springtime Surprise Race Weekend in Disney World. The weekend is April 13th-16th and consists of four races, along with Springtime Sunrise Yoga. Registration opened at 10AM EST and, as of 12:30PM EST, many of the races were still available.

The only race that is completely sold out is that Disney Pixar Cars 5K. The 10K, 10 miler, and the challenge (all three races) are still open for registration. The pricing is as follows:

• runDisney Springtime Surprise Yoga: $109
• Disney Pixar Cars 5K: SOLD OUT
• Disney Pixar Monsters 10K: $146.04
• Disney Pixar Toy Story 10 Miler: $207.87
• runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge: $479.70

There are also Virtual Races that you can register for beginning on August 26th. The virtual races are ones that you can participate in from home. They are prices as follows:

• Virtual — Disney Pixar Cars 5K: $79.95
• Virtual — Disney Pixar Monsters 10K: $94.87
• Virtual — Disney Pixar Toy Story 10 Miler: $115.13
• Virtual — runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge: $325.13

The Springtime Surprise Weekend theme changes each year, and the 2023 theme (if you hadn’t guessed it yet) is Pixar.

If you’re interested in participating in one of these races, we’d recommend registering sooner rather than later to avoid missing out on the race you want to run! These events have been known to sell out quickly in the past.
