PHOTOS: What Crowds Look Like When Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is SOLD OUT in Disney World

The day has finally arrived: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is finally here!

It’s TIME

We’ve already gotten a look at everything that will be returning to the party, including fireworks and the iconic Boo to You parade, and now that the party has started, we’ll be bringing you all sorts of information like what the merchandise looks like, what characters and entertainment offerings are available, and what the ride overlays are like! For now, we’re bringing you a look at the crowd levels during the party.

From 4PM-6PM, day guests are still in the parks, so things were pretty crowded.

Still crowded!

There were a lot of guests crowded outside of the gates waiting to get in.

Wow!

The line for the exclusive Halloween party merchandise was long, and inside the Emporium, where the merchandise was located, was a bit of a mad house.

Super crowded in here

After the park officially closed at 6PM, things began to start thinning out. At 7PM, the party began and the park consisted of only Halloween party ticket-holders. As the night wore on, we began seeing fewer and fewer people. The weather was also not cooperating for much of the evening with off-and-on rain, which likely deterred some guests.

Some areas were busier than others, for example, the ZOM-BEATS Dance Party saw some guests. Again, this likely could have been because of the inclement weather driving guests inside.

It’s a party in here!

One of the benefits of attending an event like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that wait times tend to be lower for many of the park’s rides. For example, we decided to ride Pirates of the Caribbean — the posted wait time was listed at 30 minutes, but we only waited a few minutes before we boarded our boat, plus we got to see some live actors!

There are live actors!

We started to see an uptick in crowds during the party’s entertainment offerings. Main Street, U.S.A. was pretty crowded during Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, the party’s fireworks show…

…and in Frontierland and on Main Street, U.S.A. as guests waited for the Boo To You Parade.

Crowds watching the parade

As the night wore on, however, crowds really reduced. For example, we saw hardly anybody over by Space Mountain in Tomorrowland!

There’s nobody by Space Mountain!

Back over at the front of the park, however, there were a lot of people on Main Street, U.S.A. heading toward the exit.

A lot of people exiting!

This is, of course, just what we experienced when we attended the party and does not mean that every party will be like this. It’s worth noting that this event was completely sold out, so this is what one of the busiest nights could look like.
