We Tried Creamy Lemonade in Disney World and We Have Some Thoughts

There’s almost nothing we love more than trying new food in Disney World!

It’s time for Flavors of Florida!

Whether we’re enjoying new snacks, trying new restaurant menus, or visiting one of the MANY EPCOT festivals, we like trying (almost) all of it! Today, we’re heading to Disney Springs to try two NEW menu items that are part of Flavors of Florida, and if you enjoy orange flavors you’re gonna want to check this out.

Flavors of Florida is an event at Disney Springs that runs from July 5th to August 14th. It’s all about celebrating foods inspired by the state of Florida, which means — you guessed it — lots of orange!

2022 Flavors of Florida

Naturally, we’re eating our way around Flavors of Florida and today we stopped by Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew for a new donut and a drink! The Citrus Dream Donut is an orange-glazed donut with white buttercream, drizzled with orange icing, and topped with an orange gummy and fresh mint leaf for $6.50.

This donut is REALLY pretty, but it was a little on the dry side for us. You can totally taste the hint of orange in the donut glaze and the orange gummy was fun and sugary, though it did taste like artificial orange. The white frosting was your standard buttercream and reminded us of icing you can get at the store, but we didn’t mind!

Note that this donut is VERY sugary. We noticed that the white buttercream drowns out the orange flavor in the glaze if you get a bite of everything all at once, so we wish it was orange-flavored. In fact, we’d take more orange flavor overall, and maybe an orange filling would have taken this donut to the next level.

We just wish there was more orange flavor!

Note that we weren’t a huge fan of the taste of the mint leaf with the orange flavor, but maybe that’s just our preference.

Kids would probably love this sugary sweet donut and it could also be a good snack for splitting — even just half the donut is HUGE. But keep in mind that if you’re a cake donut person, this yeast donut probably wouldn’t work for you.

Would you try this?

Next up is the Orange Lemonade with Sweet Cream Foam, which is made with fresh-squeezed orange lemonade and topped with sweet cream foam for $6.50. Yes, it’s creamy lemonade. We weren’t sure what to expect!

The orange in this drink is VERY prominent, and if you like orange juice you’d probably be happy sipping this. After getting a taste of orange, you’re hit with a hint of lemon, and it struck a nice balance that ended up making the orange flavor a bit more sweet and less punchy. It was SUPER refreshing and summery!

Orange Lemonade with Sweet Cream Foam

The sweet cream foam sits on the top of the drink and it has to be mixed in, and unfortunately, the flavor of the foam didn’t blend as well as we hoped it would. We think they were going for creamsicle vibes but it just didn’t work well. You know how they say to take off one fashion accessory before you leave the house? We wish Disney had stopped and taken away one of the three flavors. If we ordered this again, we wouldn’t mix the foam in.

Sweet Cream Foam

If you like the orange lemonade aspect, we’d recommend not mixing in the sweet cream so that you get more of the tart and tangy citrus flavors. Overall, we preferred the drink before mixing all three flavors together.

That’s a thick layer of sweet cream!

You can grab the donut and the lemonade for $6.50 from Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew in Disney Springs. If you’re looking for more Flavors of Florida offerings in Disney Springs, check out the Lime Garage Burger from D-Luxe Burger, the Orange Bird Dole Whip from Swirls on the Water or the Blood Orange Éclair from Amorette’s Patisserie.
