The BEST Proposal Spots at Magic Kingdom

I’ve recently been reminiscing about my engagement in March 2020 and our wedding in November 2021. Ever since I was a kid, I imagined what my proposal would look like. Of course, I imagined it at Walt Disney World dressed like a princess with my favorite person on one knee. Well, the pandemic had other plans for me, but my five-year-old self would still be happy with the alternative. As the world was shutting down, my now wife decided it was time to pop the question. She did it at the beach, it was one of the only places still open, and it was the most beautiful moment EVER. The sun was peaking through the clouds as it rose to greet the world. It was perfect. Well, enough about me; after reminiscing, I started to think about the best spots for a Disney proposal. Let’s jump into the Magic Kingdom so I can tell you about all the picture-perfect areas that are ideal for a Disney proposal at Magic Kingdom.

The first two spots are in New Fantasyland. Spot number one is in front of Beast’s Castle. If the person you want to propose to loves Beauty and the Beast, this is the perfect spot. The best part is that there is almost always a PhotoPass photographer there. This is where we celebrated our engagement once the parks reopened. We took pictures in this area, and it was perfect. Not too far from this spot is the entrance of New Fantasyland. There are many different arches, but the arches closest to Enchanted Tales with Belle has a Photopass photographer. It looks like an extension of the castle, so it’s beautiful.

These next spots are for those that want to get engaged by Cinderella Castle but not directly in front of it because it’s a common spot. I think the back of Cinderella Castle is stunning no matter the time of day. If you want that area to be empty-ish, I suggest popping the question in the early morning or waiting for the evening hours. To the left of the castle (from the back) is a walkway leading to Tomorrowland. This walkway has two great spots. The first spot you’ll see is a little nook, and it sometimes has a PhotoPass photographer. This spot is not well known because most people skip it for the next spot. Cinderella’s Wishing Well. This spot is gorgeous. The wishing well is a popular picture spot, so you may want to go in the morning or evening. Maybe research the area and see when it’s less busy. If you follow the path, it will lead you to a bridge. This bridge takes you toward Tomorrowland and the Mad Tea Party. There is an area that always has a Photopass photographer at the end of the walkway. It has one of the most spectacular views of the castle.

I’m sure there are many other unique places to propose; these are just some spots that I love. The key is finding a location with a PhotoPass photographer unless you bring a dedicated camera person. Maybe I’ll do one of these for each park because I know not everyone wants this moment to happen at Magic Kingdom. I’m such a sucker for love, and I cry anytime I see a proposal, especially now because I remember how amazing and beautiful the day I got engaged was. It was one of the best feelings of my life. The feelings I felt that day are feelings that I hope everyone gets to feel. Again enough about me. If you got engaged at Disney, please tell us the story in the comments!
