Disney World Really Said “See Ya Later, Summer” with this Fall Cupcake🎃

Are you tired of the hot weather and ready to break out those sweaters for fall, y’all?!

Fall will be here soon!

Well, that won’t exactly be happening in Disney World any time soon, since Central Florida is stuck in the high temperatures for a while. But, Disney can sure make it LOOK like fall with their festive decorations, and taste like fall with their festive foods! It might only be July, but there is already a fall dessert in Disney World!

Yep, the Fall Flavors Cupcake is BACK over at Gasparilla Island Grill in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

So colorful!

We saw this back in 2020, but it looks like the flavors are slightly different now.

Fall Flavors Cupcake in 2020

This year, for $6.29, you can get this maple cupcake with apple pie filling and colorful vanilla buttercream frosting. There’s also a sparkly sugar pumpkin on top (doesn’t that make you think there would be pumpkin inside🤔).

Why is there a pumpkin?

This is very tasty! It’s pretty light on the maple flavor, which could be a good thing or a bag thing depending on if you like maple-flavored things. It’s basically just yellow cake with a hint of maple.

This cupcake is very photogenic

The cupcake itself was super moist! The frosting adds to the moisture as well, and there’s a LOT of frosting here, people.

SO MUCH frosting!

The apples in the apple pie filling were a little more crisp than we expected. We would’ve liked if they had been a bit more soft.

If you’re CRAVING some fall flavors this summer, this is a good option. It’s also one of the only options at the moment, so it’s pretty much either this cupcake or grabbing some drinks and treats over at Appleseed Orchard at EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival.

A look inside

The cupcake overall wasn’t too heavy, which actually worked out quite well in the heat! The flavors are mild or safe enough that we think almost anyone could enjoy it, even the picky eaters. But, just beware that it’s NOT pumpkin flavored, despite the decoration on top.

Again, do not expect pumpkin

If you’re not ready for fall at all, the good news is that it will be super hot in Disney World for quite a while! Even when those pumpkin decorations go up, it will most likely still be a toasty 90 degrees out, so don’t pack your flannels, folks.

BUT if you DO want fall to be here, you won’t have to wait very long! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off in mid-August, we’ve already seen some fun Halloween merch, and we should soon be finding out more about the fall flavors still to come to Disney World.

Spooky Season is coming!

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we see those (fake) leaves change on Main Street, U.S.A., so stay tuned to DFB for more news and updates!
