There are three rides at Walt Disney World with single-rider lines for our friends traveling alone or who don’t mind their group getting separated. I know it’s only three rides, but it can make a difference during your trip to the park.

Over at Animal Kingdom, you can find a single-rider line at Expedition Everest. This is a top-rated attraction at this park, so the wait times tend to be pretty high. The single rider line is located near one of the gift shop entrances. I used the single rider line while the standby wait was 35 minutes. I only waited 7 minutes in the single-rider line. To me, waiting 7 minutes is way better than waiting 35 minutes. Expedition Everest has fluctuating wait times, so its wait time isn’t always astronomical, like at park open or park close.

The next place you can find a single-rider line is at Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster in Hollywood Studios. This single-rider line is beneficial because the wait times for this attraction are always high. I have not seen this ride go under a 60-minute wait in a very long time. This is one of my favorite attractions, so the single-rider line is very helpful. When I last used the single-rider line (July 25th, 2022), the standby wait time was 130 minutes. I waited in the single-rider line for 35 minutes.

Last but certainly not least, Test Track at EPCOT. Before Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened, I felt like this was one of the busier attractions at EPCOT. Every time I went to the park, the wait time was 70 minutes or higher. The same thing can be said about other attractions in the park like Frozen Ever After, Soarin, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The standby wait time was 65 minutes, and I only waited 35 minutes for the single-rider line. It’s important to note that the ride went down for a minute so that the single-rider line could’ve moved faster than the 35 minutes.

I think more attractions should have single-rider lines. For example, I believe single-rider lines would work excellent for Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, Soarin, and Flight of Passage. In my opinion, single-rider lines are great since I often travel to the parks with family members who don’t care to ride together.
