First, we’ve got to talk about the most exciting EPCOT news of the week — the Food & Wine Festival has officially kicked off! We were there on the Festival’s opening day to check out all of the food (of course), the entertainment, the merchandise, and MORE.

2 — Don’t Lose Your Car Ever Again!

Ever park your car in a Disney parking lot and then, at the end of a LOOOONG day in the parks, get stuck walking the parking lot aimlessly searching for your car that you totally lost? Well, consider that a thing of the past! Disney has announced that a car locator feature is being added to its Disney World (My Disney Experience) and Disneyland mobile apps.

Don’t Lose Your Car Again!

With this feature, you’ll be able to use location technology to find and save your parking details.

The app feature is set to become available in Disney World this summer and in Disneyland later this year.

3 — News if You’re Flying to Disney World

Thinking of flying to Disney World for your next trip? Well, there are a few things you should know. For starters, one airline no longer fly to Orlando. Hawaiian Airlines has announced that they’re suspending their service between Honolulu and Orlando later this year.

In other airline news, Orlando International Airport has confirmed the list of 11 airlines that will utilize the airport’s brand NEW terminal. The airlines include Icelandair, JetBlue, and Norse.

And finally, NEW non-stop flights to Orlando by Spirit Airlines are coming soon.

These non-stop flights will run from the San Antonio Airport to Orlando International Airport.

4 — Multiple Character Meet-and-Greets are BACK

If you’re all about meeting those Disney characters, you’ll be thrilled to know that a ton of meet-and-greets are back in the parks! Over the past few days alone, we spotted Goofy in a secret spot in Magic KingdomSnow White saying “hello” to guests in Magic Kingdom, changes made to the meet-and-greet for the Evil Stepsisters

And over in Hollywood Studios, Darth Vader and Chewbacca returned to Star Wars Launch Bay EARLY!

5 — Halloween Scavenger Hunt!

And finally, if you’re a fan of Halloween and scavenger hunts, the ultimate activity for you is coming to EPCOT this fall! Disney has announced that a Halloween scavenger hunt — Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit — will be coming to EPCOT from September 29th-October 31st!

We’ve seen a scavenger hunt by the same name in Disneyland and we’re excited to see what Disney World’s version will look like!
