The LARGEST Resort Pool at WDW is at Art of Animation

As the heat starts to kick it up a notch, giving Central Florida feel like temperatures of 103, it’s essential to find ways to cool off. When I used to visit during summer, I would spend the morning in the pool and head to the parks at 2 pm. During the summer sneaking in pool time is a great way to escape the heat. If you are looking for the biggest resort pool to swim around in while visiting Walt Disney World, we got you covered.

The largest resort pool at Walt Disney World is at Art of Animation. The Big Blue Pool, the main pool at this resort, is the largest on Disney property. This pool can hold over 308k gallons of water. That is a lot of water. The pool is themed after the movie Finding Nemo and has many themed photo spots in the pool area. Outside the pool area, you can find larger-than-life statues of Crush and Mr. Ray. The coolest part of this pool is that when swimming underwater, you can hear music and similar sounds that our Finding Nemo friends would hear while swimming. Having the music and sounds underwater is a very immersive aspect of the pool.

This is one pool I haven’t been able to explore because when I stayed at Art of Animation, it was January, so it was too cold for this born-and-raised Floridian to swim. My wife and I did walk the entire resort and noticed the massive difference between the two smaller themed pools and The Big Blue Pool. If you are a family that enjoys taking a day on vacation to chill at the pool, this would be a great option because you could be swimming in the largest Walt Disney World Resort pool.
