REVIEW: Sugary Sweet Lilo Passionfruit Mini Cake From Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

A new mini cake inspired by Lilo has danced its way into Kona Café and Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Lilo Lilikoi Mini Cake – $6.99

Yellow cake with passion fruit curd

Lilo in her hula outfit is printed on a white chocolate medallion stuck to one side of the cake.

A layer of red and white fondant resembling Lilo’s classic dress is over the buttercream and cake. A pink chocolate flower sits on one side.

This is a very sweet treat.

The fondant doesn’t add anything except cute decoration.

The buttercream underneath helps moisten the cake but also adds more sweetness.

The yellow cake was a bit dry. We wish there was more passionfruit curd to help with that.

It’s not a bad snack, but not something we would go out of our way for.

If you’re craving something sugary at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, this will calm your sweet tooth.
