Disney World has been getting ready to debut a NEW way to use MagicBands — MagicBand+! This new system introduces effects that weren’t possible with the previous generation of MagicBands, like allowing guests to interact with the 50th Anniversary statues around the parks and turning Galaxy’s Edge into an interactive bounty hunting game. Although a few MagicBand+ bands were accidentally released early, Disney still hasn’t announced when the system will officially roll out in the parks.
Regular MagicBands
Even though there’s a new generation of MagicBands on the way, we’re still finding plenty of the OG bands throughout the parks! Remember that you can continue to use the old MagicBands (or your phone) as your park ticket and hotel room key, even when MagicBand+ arrives. So let’s head into the parks to check out a NEW band that we spotted today!
We visited The Darkroom gift shop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is where we found this new Fourth of July Mickey Mouse MagicBand! The new band arrived just in time for the holiday.

The middle part is a red Mickey head with stars all around it, and there are red and white stripes on the band that are covered in Mickey Mouse! You can get it for $34.99, but you might want to hurry — since it’s a holiday-themed band, it might not be around for very long.

There are plenty of other new MagicBands around Disney World, like some Lightyear-themed ones, 50th Anniversary ones, and even Annual Passholder bands.

And if you’ll be in Disney World for the Fourth of July, don’t forget the special offerings coming to the parks for the holiday! There will be limited-time fireworks shows in both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, and you’ll be able to find a LOT of special treats to celebrate.
