What’s New in Animal Kingdom: A Dangerous Cocktail and…Dinosaur Wings, Apparently

What are you waiting for? Let’s take a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Tree of Life

We’re in Disney World pretty much every day and we tend to notice tons of tiny (or big!) changes all the time, so today we’re here with all the news from Animal Kingdom!

Animal Kingdom Food Updates

Dawa Bar had a new Mango Punch Cocktail for $14 in honor of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May. This new drink is made with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Stoli Vanil Vodka, mango purée, and rice milkand we found it very refreshing!

Mango Punch Cocktail

It wasn’t overly sweet and the booze flavor wasn’t very strong, which could be good or bad (aka dangerous) depending on what you prefer! If you like the taste of mango, you may want to give this a try.

Thirsty River Bar had a new Boba Tea for $5.99 on its own or $14 with alcohol. It’s made with chilled honey-infused black tea paired with tangy sour apple boba balls — but does sour apple go with black tea?

Boba Tea

Turns out, it does! The drink was cold and flavorful and we loved how the sweet honey balanced the bitter black tea, and the popping boba was kind of like apple Jolly Ranchers. If you enjoy tea, this would be a good drink to try!

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates

Now when it comes to construction, we saw tram drivers training.

We noticed mesh fencing in the elephant preserve area on a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris.

The dinosaur drinking fountain was working once again in DinoLand U.S.A.!

And not far from there, the Mammoth Marathon game was closed.

Adventurer’s Outpost received some changes over the last few days. We noticed that the Cast Member standing area was uncovered and the Lightning Lane sign was missing. Could this mean we’ll be seeing characters here again soon?

And in the bazaar near Expedition Everest, a sign celebrating Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month was on display.
