REVIEW: The Disney World Drink That Left Us…Confused?

It’s a new month in Disney World which means we’re getting all sorts of fun new treats and snacks to celebrate the month of May! Not only that, but we’re also celebrating Star Wars Day, Mother’s Day, and Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Basically, there’s a TON of new stuff to try.

Disney Springs

Today, we’re heading over to Disney Springs to try a limited edition cocktail for the month of May.

You might have known there was a Coca-Cola Store in Disney Springs, but did you know that Coca-Cola Store comes with a Rooftop Bar? We’re heading up to that bar today to try the May Drink of the Month: the Summer Strawberry Lemonade.

This cocktail is made of Minute Maid Lemonade, Tito’s Vodka, elderflower syrup, strawberry syrup, and muddled strawberries, and it is BEAUTIFUL.

Look how PRETTY!

All of the different syrups plus the muddled strawberries make for a gorgeous ombre effect in the drink. Plus, with the addition of the lemon and a little umbrella…this drink is pretty much summer in a cup!

Summer in a cup!

And that’s all well and good, but how does this drink TASTE? We thought it was very refreshing and a good alcoholic strawberry lemonade. The strawberry and elderflower syrups really cut the taste of the alcohol, so much so that it ends up being a little lacking in the flavor department.

It might sound strange, but while you can taste all of the flavors and ingredients in the drink, when they all come together it just seems a little…dull. It left us feeling a little conflicted or confused — it wasn’t bad, but the mixing of flavors just made the drink weirdly dull.

When the flavors come together, they seem to be a little dull.

This drink would be perfect for someone who wants a refreshing vodka lemonade without a super strong taste of vodka. People who prefer stronger alcoholic beverages might want to choose something else. Overall, this drink is good for what it is, but nothing mind-blowing.

The Summer Strawberry Lemonade is available for $16.04 at the Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar. If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic option, this drink is available as a mocktail, as well! We’ll be reviewing many more food items this month, so make sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest!
