REVIEW: Is the NEW $32 POG Drink in Disney World Worth It?! We Found Out!

Listen, there are a LOT of ways to spend your money at Disney World. Seriously…temptations around every corner!

Cinderella Castle

Whether it’s special experiences, unique souvenirs, or snacks that would look spectacular on your Instagram, it’s hard to resist some of the things we spot in the parks and resorts. But today when we were at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we found a double whammy — a drink that sounds delicious…AND comes with a fun souvenir cup!

There’s a new addition at the Polynesian’s Tambu Lounge — it’s the Papeete Pipeline for $32.

A new item!

Now that may seem like a pretty steep price tag for a drink that comes with Sailor Jerry Spiced rum, Coconut Rum, Bols Melon Liqueur, and Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice (AKA our beloved POG juice), but you’ll also get a pretty fun souvenir cup to go along with it!

The souvenir cup!

It’s a wooden mug design with the bottom half made to look like sand. The sides are wrapped with miniature re-creations of surfboards — even some with hidden Mickeys!

This will be a fun addition to your kitchen!

The drink itself is served separately in a clear cup. It’s a really pretty thing with a bold, tropical shade of orange and garnished with a cherry.

It’s a pretty drink.

But what about the taste? Mainly, it’s fruity and tropical. The alcohol wasn’t overpowering, and it has a fair amount of sweetness from the POG juice and the melon liqueur.

An up-close look at the drink

Really, this is a great drink for someone who wants to feel like they’re sitting on a beach somewhere and relaxing in the sun. If you’re not a fan of sweet or fruit-forward drinks, you may want to pass, but it definitely epitomizes the “tropical vacation” feel in a beverage.

Want to sip something fruity? This is just for you!

So is it worth it? Well, if you’re a collector of souvenir cups and this is one that you just HAVE to add to your collection, then it’s possible! If not, you may want to try ordering this drink on its own instead. But we’re definitely recommending the beverage for POG juice lovers!

That’s all for now, but we’ll keep updating you with new snacks and drinks that we find around Disney World. Stay tuned to DFB for all the reviews you need to read before your vacation!
