PHOTOS: Standard Room Tour at Disney World’s Pop Century Resort!

Hey, DFB friends! We’re back with another Disney World resort room tour!

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

We recently showed you the inside of the Pirates Room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and a standard room at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort, but now we’re headed to one of the most popular value resorts at Disney World! That’s right, we’re talking about Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and today we’re taking you through a standard room at the resort.

There are MANY perks to staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort including the affordable prices, fun theming, and Disney Skyliner access! The resort takes you through different decades with each area featuring different movies or popular items during the time. We stayed in the 1960s section, so we were near The Jungle Book figures (hi Mowgli!)…

Hey there!

and a giant Play-Doh figure. These are great photo-ops and will help you remember where you stayed at Pop Century!

GIANT Play-Doh

If you score a room in the 1960s section, you’ll be very close to the Hippy Dippy Pool which is the main pool at the resort!

Hippy Dippy Pool

The Petals Pool Bar is right by the Hippy Dippy pool, so you’re not far from a refreshing cocktail.

Last time we gave you a room tour here we had a standard pool view room, but today we just have a plain ole standard room. So let’s take a look at the INSIDE now, shall we?

View From the Room

The standard rooms at Pop Century come with either a queen bed and queen table-bed or a king bed. As you can see, we got a room with 2 queen-size beds. This is the view when you walk in the door.

Full Room

If you turn around, you’ll see the front window and mini kitchenette area. The windows are great for bringing some natural light in, but there are black out curtains for when it’s sleep time!

The kitchenette area has quite a few amenities including a mini fridge, coffee maker, cups, and an ice bucket.

Kitchenette

Here’s a closer look at the mini fridge. There are a few shelves so you’ll have plenty of room to store drinks or leftover snacks from the parks!

There is also a selection of Joffrey’s coffee and Twinnings tea along with some creamer and sugar packets.

Plenty of choices!

The coffee maker is especially helpful if you want to skip the coffee lines in the parks and make it ahead of time!

The television is mounted to the wall and underneath you have a full dresser.

TV and Dresser

There are three spacious drawers for storage…

Lots of space!

…and a cabinet-style door with a safe and extra pillows.

Even more storage

Ever since Disney World reopened last year, there have been several health and safety measures put in place, and that includes hotel rooms. Disney lays out a map and gives details on what they are doing to enhance cleaning during this time. One of these extra measures is wiping down the TV remote and putting it in plastic with a sticker that says “Cleaned”.

Enhanced Health and Safety Guidelines

As we mentioned above, we are in a room with a regular queen bed and a pull-down queen bed. Here’s a look at the regular queen bed!

Queen Bed

We love the Mickey pop art above the bed! It fits in perfectly with the theme of the hotel and is a nice touch from the room’s recent renovations.

So fun!

Disney is optimizing space in these rooms with the second bed as a pull-down bed. By day, you can have a nice table for two

…and by night you have a comfy queen bed! Don’t worry, the beds feel exactly the same even though one is a pull-down.

Pull-Down Bed

When pulled-down this bed reveals similar artwork. Check out pop art Pluto dreaming about some dog bones!

Take a look at the room with both beds down.

Two Queen Beds

Now let’s head towards the bathroom! There is a sliding door for those who want some privacy while getting ready.

Sliding Bathroom Door

What’s nice about the bathrooms here is that the sink area and the shower/toilet area are separated. This allows for more people in your room to get ready in the morning without being in each other’s way!

Sink Area

There is a small closet area with plenty of hangers, an ironing board

an iron, and a blow dryer.

Blow Dryer and Iron

There is a good amount of counter space in front of the mirror. Also, check out all of the storage space you have under the sink and counter!

Sink

The mirror is also pretty big, so a few people could use it at the same time! Plus, there is a magnifying mirror to the left.

Bathroom Mirror

If you turn to the left from the sink, there is the second bathroom area with the shower and toilet.

2nd bathroom area!

There are two levels of towel racks on the left wall, and one towel rack above the toilet. The shower has sliding glass doors. Can you spot the cool detailing on the tile in the shower?

Shower

In the shower, you’ll find the H2O Beauty body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the refillable bottles. With the enhanced cleaning measures we mentioned earlier, Cast Members clean and put plastic with a “Cleaned” sticker over the pumps.

Disney H2O Products

We’ll finish up this room tour with a look at the room from the other direction!

Another view of the room

And that’s a wrap on our Standard Room Tour at Disney’s Pop Century Resort! Prices for these rooms do vary depending on the dates, however since it is a value resort, these are some of the best rates you’ll see at Disney World resorts. We hope you enjoyed this in-depth look at these value resort rooms, and be sure to stay tuned for even MORE resort room tours!
