Disney World, You NEED to Bring These Foods Back ASAP.

We could go on and on about all the things we love when it comes to Disney World.

The ICONIC Mickey Ice Cream Bar!

But of course, we wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for our love of Disney FOOD! Some of our favorite foods and snacks of ALL TIME are found in Disney World, and we’re even guilty of making special trips to the parks just because we had a craving. Apparently, Disney doesn’t always agree with our favorite eats as items can be removed from menus without warning — causing us to lament the snacks of days past. Here are the top foods we wish would come back to Disney World!

When it comes to dining in Disney World, we have a love-hate relationship. We’ve tried some incredible dishes that have essentially changed our lives, but we’ve also eaten some snacks that we really wish we hadn’t. And then, there are the Disney World snacks that are long gone but we can’t stop dreaming about, like the…

Kakamora Float

This twist on a classic Disney treat was introduced at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom back in 2019 and has popped up here and there now and again, too.

The beloved Kakamora Float

Made with coconut soft-serve and topped with pineapple juice and blue curaçao (plus a Chocolate Kakamora cake pop!), this refreshing treat is the perfect way to cool off on a hot park day.

Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls

We’re stopping by another Magic Kingdom quick-service spot to talk about our next retired snack — the Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls.

Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls

Once found over at the Adventureland Spring Roll Cart, these pockets of pepperoni pizza pleasure were filled with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni, and served with a side of marinara sauce.

I mean, would you just look at this work of art?

Not all hope is lost, though, as Disney has brought these back before and the Spring Roll Cart switches out flavors somewhat frequently!

Peanut Butter Pie

Oh, beloved Peanut Butter Pie from Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. How we wish you still existed in your original form. This vanilla tart shell was filled with vanilla and peanut butter cream cheese filling and chocolate ganache and IT. WAS. ASTONISHING.

We LOVED Peanut Butter Pie

Of course, you had to be a peanut butter fan to love this treat — it is literally called Peanut Butter Pie, after all. This thing had it all — a soft shell that was almost like a cookie, not to mention the peanut butter cream cheese frosting that was essentially a spiritual experience.

We miss you…

For now, we’ll have to settle for the 50th Anniversary Peanut Butter-Banana Pie at Contempo Cafe instead.

Cheshire Cake Cups

Once upon a time, there was a place so magical, so wonderful that they served cake… in a cup. Okay, the place still exists — Cheshire Cafe in Magic Kingdom — but the Cheshire Cake Cups that were once available at this quick-service spot are no more.

Cake Cups at Cheshire Cafe

These bad boys were basically cake parfaits — layers of frosting and cake in a cup that you were supposed to eat with a fork or spoon. There were different flavors like Mad Hatter Mocha and Queen of Hearts Strawberry (among others) and THEY. WERE. SO. GOOD.

White Chocolate Rabbit and Queen of Hearts Strawberry Shortcake Cake Cups

But truthfully, what wouldn’t be great about cake in a cup?

Everest Base Camp Macaron

In 2021, Disney World finally smiled upon us and gave us a twist on an iconic Disneyland treat — the Matterhorn Macaroon. The Everest Base Camp Macaroon made its debut at Animal Kingdom in 2021 and we were ecstatic.

Everest Base Camp Macaroon

This mountain of a macaroon featured three (!!!) mountain peaks made of chocolate and coconut macaroons, plus white chocolate “snowcaps” and green tea chocolate crumbs at the base.

Please bring this one back, Disney!

It was so delicious and had such an interesting flavor profile that we found ourselves coming back to it again and again — until Disney got rid of it just a few short weeks later!

Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich

Another one of our favorite snacks that Disney World no longer serves was the Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich found at Dino-Bite Snacks in Animal Kingdom. This was a strawberry ice cream sandwich made with sugar cookies rolled in strawberry and vanilla cake crumbs.

Animal Kingdom Knows How to do Sweets

Y’all. This thing was the BOMB. There were fresh strawberries in the ice cream, and soft, chewy sugar cookies were top-notch. It reminded us of those strawberry shortcake ice cream bars you’d get from the ice cream truck!

Key Lime Pie on a Stick

Back in the day, you used to be able to find a portable version of a popular Florida dessert at the Neighborhood Bakery in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Key Lime Pie on a Stick

The Key Lime Pie on a Stick was a welcome respite from the Central Florida sun, and was the perfect combination of tart and sweet. Not to mention, don’t things just taste better when you eat them off of a stick (shoutout to all corn dogs everywhere!)?

Brown Derby Lounge Cobb Salad

Did you know there’s a way to enjoy many table-service restaurants in Disney World without a reservation? Welcome to the world of Disney lounges. One of our favorites is over in Hollywood Studios at the Hollywood Brown Derby.

Brown Derby

Here, you can get many a delightful cocktail, but you can also order select food items from the Brown Derby menu — like their famous Cobb Salad. It used to come in a lounge-sized portion at lounge-sized prices, but unfortunately that isn’t the case any longer.

Cobb Salad

You can still get the Cobb Salad at the Brown Derby Lounge, but it’ll be the full-size portion!

We could name so many amazing eats from around Disney World that we wish would come back to the parks, and Disney is always surprising us so we’re still holding out hope.
