50th Anniversary Celebration Petit Cake

Today, we’re back at Disney Springs to check out the latest treat at Amorette’s Patisserie. It’s a cute one!

Disney’s newest animated movie Turning Red is coming SOON to Disney+ (March 11th, to be exact). To celebrate the film’s debut, Disney has been creating new treats inspired by the movie. Starting now, Amorette’s Patisserie is serving a special Turning Red Dome Cake!

This mini dome cake was designed to taste like a Canadian dessert! It’s made up of layers of rich chocolate nut brownie, coconut vanilla custard, and dark chocolate ganache.

It looks like a red panda!

Just like Mei Mei, we can get pretty excited about new Disney treats, and this dessert made us pretty happy! The rich, chocolate nut brownie inside is delightful. We tasted some crunchy, nutty almond flavors in there, so if you have a nut allergy, keep that in mind. The other layer, coconut vanilla custard, is pretty thick, which took us by surprise. The coconut flavor worked well with the nutty chocolate brownie.

Amorette’s makes the cutest treats!

As coconut tends to do, we thought that the coconut flavor here was a little overpowering. It’s definitely the first thing you taste when you take a bite. The dark chocolate ganache is pretty sweet, epically considering it’s supposed to be dark chocolate. We liked it! The ears are made with white chocolate and sprinkles and the face features are made with little pieces of fondant.

Yum!

Overall, we really enjoyed this treat! If you like chocolate and brownies, you’ll probably enjoy this dome cake. You can try the Turning Red Dome Cake for $9 at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. In the meantime, stay tuned for all the latest Disney news, reviews, and more!
