REVIEW: Delicious Mirabel Cinnamon Cupcake, Disappointing Luisa Push Pop, and ‘Encanto’ Cholado at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and Art of Animation Resort are serving up new “Encanto”-inspired treats for Women’s History Month. We visited the World Premiere Food Court at All-Star Movies to try the Mirabel Cupcake, Luisa Push-Up Cake Pop, and Encanto Cholado.

They also have Chorizo Arepas available during breakfast until 11:00 a.m.

Luisa Push-Up Cake Pop – $5.29

Layers of vanilla cake and tres leches pastry cream topped with a doughnut hole ‘boulder’

This is a good treat, but not great.

The vanilla cake and tres leches cream would pair well together, but the cream was too sweet and overwhelmed the cake.

The donut hole is glazed and makes for a great topping. It’s baked perfectly, moist throughout, and adds texture to an otherwise liquidy push pop.

If you’re hungry and need a sugar rush, go for this pop. If not, pass.

Encanto Cholado – $6.99

Crushed ice topped with sliced fresh fruit, sweetened condensed milk and shredded coconut

This was refreshing on a hot day, but otherwise, it wasn’t for us.

Shredded coconut and sugar coat the rim of the cup, which we did love and makes for great pictures. It’s good for taste, too, if you like coconut.

The sliced fruits on top are strawberries, bananas, and pineapple.

The flavors of the treat itself didn’t flow well together. Nothing mixed when melted and it melted fast.

We tasted all banana with a tart strawberry aftertaste.

We didn’t taste condensed milk or blueberry syrup.

Overall, this is a definite pass from us.

Mirabel Cupcake – $5.79

Cinnamon Cupcake filled with Custard and topped with Coconut Buttercream, Toasted Coconut, and Mirabel-inspired Fondant Garnishes.

This is a must-get. It is one of the best cupcakes we’ve had at Walt Disney World.

The coconut buttercream pairs perfectly with the cinnamon cupcake.

There’s not an overload of coconut flavor, just enough.

The toasted coconut adds a crunch to the whole cupcake.

Like most fondant garnishes, these are like Play-doh and don’t add much in terms of taste, but do look great for pictures.

The cupcake itself was moist and baked well. We tasted cinnamon throughout and it is perfect with the custard filling.

The custard is vanilla and adds just enough extra sweetness to put this cupcake over the top. It’s like a well-made coffee cake.

We definitely recommend picking up this cupcake to celebrate Women’s History Month!
