REVIEW: Chocolate Cherry Madame Leota Cupcake Joins the Happy Haunts at Magic Kingdom for Women’s History Month

Calling all Haunted Mansion fans! Our crystal ball sees the new Madame Leota Cupcake in your future.

You can find this treat at Liberty Square Market in the Magic Kingdom.

Madame Leota Cupcake – $5.79

Chocolate-Cherry Cake filled with Blackberry-Cherry-Lime Cream Finished with Black Cherry Buttercream

This treat is in celebration of Women’s History Month. The placard reads, “As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration, we celebrate the hard work and genius of the women who designed elements in the Magic Kingdom which we still enjoy today.” The cupcake is in honor of Leota Toombs, the Imagineer from whom Madame Leota gets her face and name.

We get a chocolate cherry Cola vibe from this cupcake.

We tasted cherry in the icing but didn’t taste lime in it at all.

The little crisps on top give you a pop of chocolate along with an extra hit of cherry.

We solely tasted chocolate rather than chocolate and cherry as far as the cake itself was concerned.

The center buttercream was light with vanilla and blackberry flavors.

It’s a decent cupcake if you enjoy both cherry and chocolate, and it’s certainly photogenic.
