REVIEW: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day With a Delicious Caramel-Irish Cream Mousse Hat From Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

St. Patrick’s Day is a week away and you can get in the spirit with this limited-time treat from Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

St. Patty’s Day Hat – $7.99

Caramel-Irish cream mousse on a shortbread cookie

This is delicious! The mousse is light and flavorful.

The caramel and Irish cream pair perfectly. Neither overpowers the other.

The dark chocolate on the outside adds bitterness to balance the sweet center.

The green band is fondant and the clover is white chocolate. They are both cute decorations and nothing special.

The mousse has devil’s food cake in the center. It’s nice and light but didn’t add much flavor-wise. Maybe if there was more cake in the center it would have been more than just a “filling.”

The shortbread cookie was top-notch. It was crumbly and buttery and goes well with the rest of the treat.

This is big enough to share, so find your lucky charm and dig in!
