Previously, the Walt Disney Company suspended all theatrical releases in Russia, including those on their streaming service, Disney+. Now, Disney is taking further action by pausing more of their business operations in that area.

The Walt Disney Company recently issued a statement in response to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Disney stated that they were pausing all of their businesses in Russia, including “content and product licensing, Disney Cruise Line activities, National Geographic magazine and tours, local content productions, and linear channels.”

Cruise itineraries will not include Russian ports.

Although they are working towards pausing all of their business there, Disney noted that some activities can be paused immediately and others will take longer to stop “given contractual complexities.” They also stated that Disney employees in Russia will remain employed. They said, “We remain committed to our dedicated colleagues in Russia.”
