NEW PHOTOS Shared from Inside EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy Ride

It’s almost time!

It’s Coming!

The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster coming to EPCOT (Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind) has been under construction for quite some time now and is set to open this summer. We’ve been checking for updates, looking for new photos of the inside of the ride, and sharing ALL the details with you. And now we’ve got ANOTHER update!

We’ve seen quite a bit of the loading area for the attraction during recent weeks. We’ve seen some concept art and other details shared about this space, but now Imagineer Zach Riddley has shared even MORE photos via his Instagram.

According to Riddley, one of the ways that they’re telling the story of this ride is by “infusing details into all the various functional items” in the attraction.

Riddley shared that the “Angular designs, striking use of colors, and materials all help tell the story of a Nova Corps facility. The railings, station gates and floor markings…are all used to convey the experience in ways that might not be as obvious or apparent, but every detail is a choice that supports our story.”

The gates for the loading zone are meant to have a “weight and scale to them to help convey the industrial nature of the area.” The handrails are made of “stainless steel give a sturdy and durable feel and show the precision craftsmanship of the Nova Corps.”

The Nova Corps designs are inspired by their star symbol, and Riddley shares that the symbol makes “several appearances in the space.”

You can even see it in this photo of part of the loading zone!

Riddley also shared a closer look at some of those loading numbers on the floor, which feature more of that red color scheme we’ve seen throughout the space.

Looks like the coaster is truly coming together! During a recent ride on the EPCOT monorail we even saw some progress being made on the plants being placed in this area around the central ship.

More Plants!

Again remember that the Guardians ride is not set to open until the summer of 2022, and no exact opening date has been shared yet.

Looking Good!

We’ll continue to look for more updates and we’ll share those all with you! Stay tuned for more details!
