50th Themed Mardi Gras Parade Shines, New Orange Bird, Mickey, and Spike the Bee Gift Cards Sprout Up, & More: EPCOT Photo Report 3/1/2022

Happy Mardi Gras! We are beginning our day at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter to get into the Mardi Gras spirit.

This year’s parade was themed to the 50th Anniversary. Cast members decorated golf carts to help celebrate the anniversary and Mardi Gras.

Princess Tiana waved to guests from a horse-drawn carriage.

Cast members outdid themselves with decked-out golf carts. You can see all the different carts and watch the full parade here.

After the parade, we kept the good times rolling with a quick shopping trip. Two new mugs and a new tumbler can bring New Orleans into your home.

We headed to EPCOT to check out the topiaries before tomorrow’s start of the 2022 International Flower & Garden Festival. A special 50th anniversary Goofy topiary has been added to the front entrance of the park.

The Beast and Belle, along with Lumiere and Cogsworth, have popped up in the France Pavilion.

During Flower & Garden, you can enjoy themed gardens throughout the different neighborhoods. The English Tea Garden is located in the UK pavilion.

This garden features flowers planted in tea cups that are labeled with a tea tag.

This year’s festival gift cards feature three main characters, Mickey Mouse, Orange Bird, and of course, Spike the Bee. You can keep your hands free with the colorful wrist strap.

We are ending our day watching the trains in the tiny village at the Germany pavilion.
