REVIEW: Now THIS is How Flatbread Should Be Done in Disney World!

It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there if you’re a Magic Kingdom restaurant.

Cinderella Castle

Magic Kingdom draws in some huge crowds, and there are tons of options for satisfying their hunger. Casey’s Corner serves up classic theme park snacks like hot dogs and fries (not to mention our soulmate in food form, Corn Dog Nuggets,) and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe serves up some Mexican inspired flavors, but there is one Magic Kingdom counter-service spot that has PRIME real estate, yet can still be forgettable.

We’re talking about Pinocchio’s Village Haus. This quick-service spot is located in the heart of Fantasyland and serves up pizzas and other Italian-inspired options.

Pinocchio Village Haus

Village Haus isn’t a lost cause. It’s a good spot if you just need to refuel and keep going, but when it’s surrounded by iconic park staples like ‘it’s a small world’ and the literal CASTLE, it’s can sometimes come off as lackluster. However, we’re hoping their new 50th Anniversary menu item changes that! Will this be the flatbread that sells us on Pinocchio Village Haus?

Y0u can order the new Croque Monsieur Flatbread at the counter of Pinocchio Village Haus or via Mobile Order in the My Disney Experience app, and it’s flatbread topped with béchamel, sliced ham, tomato, and Gruyère for $11.99.

And guess what — we actually really enjoyed the Croque Monsieur Flatbread! It was simple, but it had delicious seasonings and a good amount of cheese. As you may know, we love ourselves some cheese here at DFB.

Croque Monsieur Flatbread

The crust was SO good, as it was chewy in the center and crunchy on the edges.

Look at that crust!

Some people might not like that this flatbread doesn’t have a red sauce base, but we didn’t find it dry at all.

No red sauce here

If you’re a basic cheese pizza kind of person, this might be fancier than you’re used to — but you will still likely enjoy this. We especially loved that the ham gave the flatbread a nice level of saltiness.

Toppings

If you prefer red or marinara sauce as a base for flatbread — you might want to skip this one and get one of the more traditional flatbreads at Village Haus. It might be worth a try though if you love cheese and ham!

We really enjoyed it!
