REVIEW: Forget Coffee, This NEW Disney Drink Might Be Better!

We’re kicking off the Lunar New Year celebrations all day in Disney California Adventure!

Happy Lunar New Year!

This year, the Lunar New Year Festival is set to take place from January 21 through February 13, 2022, and it’s once again bringing all kinds of new eats and drinks, specialty entertainment (including special Disney Character sightings), and more! We’ve been taking you along with us as we try all the new eats at spots like Red Dragon Spice Traders, Longevity Noodle Co., and Prosperity Bao & Buns, and now we’re heading over to one of the EXTRA spots where you can pick up a specialty drink (or two) for the occasion!

Menu

Lucky Fortune Cookery is a Quick Service restaurant located in the Pacific Wharf area of the park where you can normally find dishes that are inspired by Beijing, Seoul, Bangkok, and Tokyo (think Teriyaki Chicken and delicious Ramen).

And, while you can still order up the full menu from the restaurant, there are THREE new arrivals on the menu that will only be available during the festival!

Let’s check out the new offerings!

Beverages

New to the menu this year is the Hong Kong-style Milk Tea. This new non-alcoholic drink will cost ya $5.49 and is made with black tea that is sweetened with condensed milk and served over ice.

New drink alert!

Prefer to spice up your drink a little bit? Well, you can get the Hong Kong-syle milk tea, Vietnamese iced coffee, OR any fountain beverage in the Mulan Sipper for $18.49. We’ve seen this sipper in Disneyland before (for a dollar less…), but now it’s back for the festival!

Now, THIS is epic!

You can also add some color to your drink with the Lotus Flower Glow Cube for $4.99. Now, these aren’t the cheapest souvenirs perse, but they are something fun that you can bring home with you and use over and over again.

Overall

So, should you go out of your way to stop by Lucky Fortune Cookery this festival season? We thought that the Hong Kong-style Milk Tea was quite nice! The condensed milk added a sweet flavor that we really enjoyed. If you’re looking for a caffeine boost during the festival, stop by the Lucky Fortune Cookery!

This is a sweet little treat!

And, be sure to check out all of our reviews of the other booths and stay tuned for this year’s Best of the Fest list!
