Disneyland’s Monorail To Close Temporarily This Month

The rides and attractions at our favorite Disney parks have to occasionally close for a period of time due to routine maintenance. Right now, for example, we’re experiencing a rather lengthy downtime of Expedition Everest over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

At the Disneyland Resort, we’ve noticed that one Tomorrowland attraction (which also happens to double as one nifty mode of transportation around the resort) appears to be preparing for a temporary closure!

On Disneyland’s website, the Monorail is not showing any times (meaning that the ride would be unavailable to guests) starting on January 24th.

The closure continues through at least February 17th, which is as far out as Disneyland’s operating calendar goes as of this writing.

The Disneyland Monorail, like its Disney World counterpart, is a convenient way of traveling around property.

It has one stop in Tomorrowland and another stop in Downtown Disney, making it a great way to enter the park first thing in the morning or exit at night to avoid those Main Street crowds. But for now, it looks like we may have to live without the Monorail for at least a few weeks!

We’ll keep a close watch on Disneyland’s website for more updates, so be sure to follow along for more of the latest news and updates!
