We Bet You Never Knew These Disney World “Rules” Existed

In case you’re not super familiar with Disney World, you should know that there are some rules you’ve got to follow in the parks.

Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness

Some of these rules are official (like keep your hands and feet inside the ride), and others are unspoken rules that people just agree to follow (like don’t spoil the magic or block a kid’s view of the fireworks). But we recently saw some rules at Disney World that we’ve never seen inside the parks before. Check out these new rules to see how well you’re following them on your Disney vacations.

We were at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort when we found these rules inside the Meadow Trading Post (a gift shop location at this hotel).

This spot has a lot of 50th Anniversary merchandise, but not just for Disney World. The Fort Wilderness hotel also turned 50 on October 1st this year (since it opened on the same day as Disney World), so they’ve got a collection of their very own anniversary merchandise!

We spotted a new item in this collection recently, which is where we found the Disney World rules we didn’t know about before. It’s a t-shirt with the Fort Wilderness logo on the front…

…and all kinds of rules on the back!

With rules like “sleep under the stars” and “swim, hike, fish,” we guess these rules are mostly for people staying at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds. There are a lot of fun activities at this resort that guests can take part in. But others could apply to a lot of different places in Disney World! You should definitely watch the sunset in the parks whenever you can.

And we know of a few good spots where you can find delicious s’mores treats! One of our top picks is Karamell-Kuche in EPCOT. Their chocolate-covered caramel s’more is to die for.

You can find friendly spots to sit by the fire in a lot of different locations, too. In fact, we’re going to go ahead and count fireworks in this situation, which means there are GREAT places to sit by the fire each night in EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom.

And you shouldn’t forget to make great memories and find time to relax and unwind during your vacation. So we guess some of these rules do apply to all of Disney World after all. Keep following DFB for more tips as you plan your Disney World trip.
