What’s New at EPCOT: Missing Animatronics and Returning Fall Treats

Hello DFB friends! We’re here to talk about all the new things at EPCOT!

EPCOT Entrance

This week at EPCOT brought us several new (and returning) Halloween and fall festive treats, and preparations are being made for the new Creations Shop to open soon. Let’s go over everything new in EPCOT!

EPCOT Food Updates

In the Germany pavilion at Karamell-Küche, we found that the Werther’s Pumpkin Cupcake with Salted Caramel Buttercream is back from 2019! This cupcake is made with pumpkin cake and Werther’s caramel filling for $5.59. Last time we tried this, the frosting was a cream cheese frosting, but we loved the new salted caramel buttercream with the pumpkin cake!

Pumpkin Cupcake

We especially loved the caramel drizzle and the gooey Werther’s filling and it’s safe to say that this is one of the best cupcakes we’ve ever had in Disney World.

Block and Hans in the American Adventure pavilion officially switched out Arendelle Aqua Lemonade with the returning fall drink Spiked Frozen Apple Pie. You can get this drink for $14.75, and it’s made with Old Smoky Apple Pie, Minute Maid Apple Juice, and Cinnamon. You can also get a non-alcoholic version for $5.75.

It’s like drinking autumn.

If you’ve ever wanted to literally taste fall, this is the drink for you. You taste the spices first and the apple second and it’s not super sweet. We’re so glad it’s back this year!

And over in the Canada pavilion, the popcorn cart had a new Spooky Caramel-Apple Cider in a Poison Apple Sipper for $16!  This drink comes with Caramel Apple Cider that’s topped with a Green Apple ice cube and Milk and White Chocolate Pearls.

Gorgeous!

The Poison Apple Sipper is SO beautiful, but the Caramel Apple Cider was a bit…bizarre. You can get the drink on the side, and even if you don’t like it the sipper is worth the price!

EPCOT Construction Updates

Spaceship Earth

Two animatronics have gone missing from Spaceship Earth, including a caveman, who is usually standing near the mammoth drawing…

…and the Roman soldier who is usually standing next to the horse in this scene.

Missing Roman Soldier

It’s normal for animatronics to go missing from rides for regular maintenance, and we’ll be watching out for their return!

Mouse Gear

As preparations are made for Mouse Gear to be replaced by the new store, Creations Shop, we saw more displays and walls moved around in Mouse Gear.

Creations Shop is scheduled to open on September 15th, and it will be the new flagship merchandise location for EPCOT.
