Read THIS If You’re Headed to Disney World for Labor Day!

We are less than a month away from Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!

We’re so close to the start of the 50th Anniversary Celebration!

If you’re heading to the parks for Labor Day or to check out some of the awesome 50th decorations next week, you’ll want to be prepped with what to pack! To help, we’re taking you through next week’s forecast. Let’s dive in!

Weather Forecast

According to The Weather Channel, we might see a return to rainy days this week — but don’t think that means we get to say goodbye to warmer temperatures just yet!

Expedition Everest

Last week was one of the driest we’ve seen in a while. It looks like we’ll keep seeing consistent temperatures but our days might be a little wetter. Let’s take a look!

September 6th

Monday, September 6th, will give us a HOT Labor Day with high temperatures in the low 90s. Just like recent weeks, the temperatures are going to hang out in about the same place all week. At least that means it will be a little bit easier to pack!

Get ready for a 91 degree high and a 75 degree low. This is the first of several days with afternoon showers or storms. Prep with a rain layer so you don’t end up soaked!

September 7th

The next day, September 7th has a similar forecast with a 90 degree high and a 75 degree low. There’s a bit higher rain chance this day too but you’ll likely see afternoon showers most days this week even with a little variance in rain chance.

Humidity is starting to inch down but it’s still the humid season! Be warned that those high humidity levels can sometimes make it feel about 10 degrees hotter than it actually is.

September 8th

On Wednesday, September 8th, we’re going to see yet another familiar-looking day. Wow, these temperatures are really giving us a little bit of deja vu.

Check out that high UV index with the 90-degree day! It’s super important that you wear sunscreen and sunglasses with such intense UV levels. They can be dangerous!

September 9th

For Thursday, September 9th, we’re seeing ANOTHER day with very little change. Get ready for a 90 degree high and a 76 degree low. There’s a lower rain chance this day, but we might still see a storm.

Those mid-70s nights can be VERY comfortable. It’s a great time of year to grab a Dole Whip and watch the fireworks!

September 10th

WOW. A 90-degree day and 75-degree night? YOU’RE KIDDING. Ok, maybe we’re not at all surprised. September 10th is bringing us more consistent temperatures!

It might be a little breezier toward the end of the week too! It’s always nice to feel a little wind when it’s hot out.

September 11th

And on to Saturday, we’re seeing a notable drop in temperatures. You might not be able to feel too much of a difference, but we’re out of the 90s!

September 11th brings us an 88 degree high and a 75 degree low.

September 12th

Finally, we wrap up the week on September 12th with an 88 degree high and a 75 degree low. Plus, this day has the lowest rain chance of the whole week at 30% during the day and 24% at night!

Check out the length of the days! Early September typically means sunrise around 7:10AM and sunset around 7:30PM.

Overview of the Week

Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of high 80s to low 90s highs and mid 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!

Now we know what temperatures and weather we can expect next week, so here are some helpful tips!

Expect storms!

This week has its fair share of storms in the forecast so there are a few things you should expect. Storms bring a LOT of lightning in Orlando and lightning can close down all sorts of offerings in Disney World including rides and pools. If you’ve got pool time planned or have some outdoor must-do attractions (like Test Track or Expedition Everest), you might want to schedule these activities in the morning!

Rain in Disney

We tell you ALL the time to have that rain layer prepped, but staying dry is not the only thing to worry about! Don’t miss out on a favorite attraction or much-anticipated plan because you weren’t expecting a storm!

Expect HEAT.

Also, expect some serious SUN. It might be September and the Halloween decorations might be up, but it is still VERY MUCH summer in Disney World! In fact, the official last day of summer doesn’t even come until September 21st! And summer in Orlando means HOT DAYS.

Hot Day in Toy Story Land

Make sure that you’re staying safe with such high temperatures. Your body might not be used to walking miles in high heat so make sure you take breaks when you need to and drink a LOT of water. Plus, you gotta lather up and reapply that sunscreen often!
