It’s not even the 50th Anniversary yet, but we’ve had SO much news coming out of Disney World this week!

We got an opening date for the Star Wars Hotel. We got a first look at the new Grand Floridian Vacation Club Rooms. We even learned about some new high-tech MagicBands that are coming soon. And we got an opening timeline of 2022 for EPCOT’s next attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, along with some new details! Well, the news just keeps on coming, and we’ve got a first look at the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride vehicles.
Yes, we’ve seen photos of the vehicles by Disney, but we recently got to attend a media event where we got to get up close to one of the vehicles, and we’re sharing photos with you!
As you can see, each ride vehicle can seat up to four people.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Ride Vehicle
The ride is an omnicoaster, which means that this vehicle will spin 360 degrees on the track — while traveling at high speeds. Fun! However, Disney did reiterate that it’s a family-friendly ride, so the young ‘uns should be able to enjoy it, too!

Inside the vehicles are safety bars that pull down for each guest. Speakers are also inset into each row between guests.

The story (because there’s ALWAYS a story) is that the planet of Xandar has brought the first intergalactic world pavilion to EPCOT (okay, that’s pretty cool, right?). But the ride takes you flying through space with the Guardians, and we’re sure there will be lots of unexpected events!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to go INSIDE the ride to see the construction progress for ourselves. And things are really coming along. And we can’t wait to ride it next year. We’ll keep following all the news about the new coaster and keep you updated!
