Headed to Disney World next week?

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Ah! We’re so excited for you! If you are, you’ve probably got packing on the mind. We want to make sure you’re prepped for your trip, so we’re taking you through next week’s weather forecast for Orlando!

Weather Forecast

We saw a little less rain than usual last week and it seems that trend might not be disappearing just yet. Late August means a break in the rainy season, but it also means HOT temperatures.

Animal Kingdom

According to The Weather Channel, the weather is going to be pretty consistent this week. It will certainly be consistently toasty! Let’s take a look at what you can expect each day.

August 30th

Monday, August 30th will start the week with temperatures in the low 80s. There is NOT a lot of variance in the temperatures this week. Just keep in mind that high humidity might make it feel a lot warmer than it actually is.

Get ready for a 92 degree high and a 75 degree low. That is WARM and days like this can sometimes feel like 100 degrees with that 70% humidity.

August 31st

The next day, August 31st has almost exactly the same forecast as the day before with that 92-degree high and 75-degree low. The rain chance ticks up just a little bit at night so you might see a scattered thunderstorm after dark.

Every day of next week has a UV Index of 9, 10, or Extreme. These high levels can be dangerous! Make sure you lather up with some SPF and reapply often to keep yourself from burning.

September 1st

On Wednesday, September 1st, we’re going to see another familiar-looking day. Did we accidentally get the forecast for the town in Groundhog Day?

Nope, it’s just a very consistent week in Orlando. It still seems like we’ll be staying mostly dry next week!

September 2nd

For Thursday, September 2nd expect a slightly cooler day (VERY slightly) with an 89-degree high and another 75-degree low. Wednesday will mark the highest chance of daytime storms.

Even when rain ISN’T in the forecast, you should prep for it. Have a rain layer on hand just in case the Florida skies decide to drench you without warning.

September 3rd

WHAT? More consistent temperatures? We’re SHOCKED. Friday we’re seeing a small step back up to a 90-degree high and a 75=degree low on September 3rd.

Check out those sunrise and sunset times! Early September typically means that daylight will kick off around 7AM and depart around 7:45PM.

September 4th

And on to Saturday, we’re seeing another day with warm temperatures and a dry outlook. Hopefully, those clouds provide a little shade!

September 4th has a high of 91 degrees and a low of 75 degrees.

September 5th

Finally, we wrap up the week on September 5th with another warm day and low rain chance.

This week doesn’t look like it’s the breeziest either. With intense sun, some clouds, and little to no breeze; it’s SUPER important that you make sure you’re taking breaks as you need and staying hydrated.

Overview of the Week

Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of high 80s to low 90s highs and mid 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!

Now you know you might end up stuck in the rain and standing in the heat, so here are some tips for being prepared!

Be ready for all that sun.

Florida has very hot weather and that can be a good thing for your vacation. However, it can also be dangerous. Sure, you might enjoy your pool day a little more if it’s hot outside but you could also be risking sunburns or worse!

Free Water in EPCOT

Wear sunscreen and reapply often, take breaks in the AC when you need to, and (above all) DRINK A LOT OF WATER. You can get free cups of ice water from most quick-service dining locations and you can bring bottles in if you like. We’ve seen our fair share of people pass out or get very sick because they’re not used to walking in the heat. Don’t let it happen to you!

Be prepared for anything.

Just because the forecast looks like it will be smooth and sunny sailing in Disney World next week, doesn’t mean you can leave that rain jacket and poncho at home. The weather in Florida changes a LOT and you’ll want to be ready if the forecast takes a turn.

Those Disney ponchos are cute but they cost a fortune!

Besides, those rain layers can be helpful for more than just sudden showers. What if you want to hop in Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids but want oto avoid wet pants? Toss on that poncho.
