All of the BLOCKOUT Dates for Disney World’s NEW Annual Pass Program

Earlier today, Disney World announced details about the NEW Annual Passes that will be available for purchase soon, and there have been some changes.

Disney World Annual Pass

We’ve already shared a breakdown of the basic features of these new passes, a look at their benefits and costs, an explanation of how the program affects current passholders, and a look at whether these new passes are more expensive than the old offerings. But now we’re taking a closer look at one BIG factor that could impact your decision as to which annual pass to purchase — blockout dates.

What blockout dates your annual pass will be subject to depends on what type of pass you purchase. Under the new system, there will be 4 different passes available to purchase. You can see some basic information on these passes in the graphic below.

Let’s take a closer look at the blockout dates for each type of pass.

Disney Pixie Dust Pass

The Disney Pixie Dust Pass (the cheapest of all the Annual Passholder options) allows guests to visit Disney World on most weekdays (with a Park Pass reservation), and there are additional blockout dates during peak and holiday periods.

Here’s a look at the Pixie Dust Pass blockout dates for September 2021 through February 2022. You can see all of the weekends are blocked out, as well as select peak/holiday dates like the week of Thanksgiving, the week of Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and other dates.

Disney Pirate Pass

The Disney Pirate Pass is slightly more expensive but features different blockout dates. For the Pirate Pass, guests will be able to get into the parks (with a valid Park Pass) most dates, but there are blockout dates during peak and holiday periods.

Here’s a look at the blockout calendar for September of 2021 through February of 2022. You can see that while many weekends are available with this pass (unlike with the Pixie Dust Pass), several holiday/peak dates are blocked out, like days around the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve, among others.

Disney Sorcerer Pass

The Disney Sorcerer Pass is more expensive than the previous two passes and features its own unique set of blockout dates. Those with the Sorcerer Pass will be able to visit the parks (with a Park Pass reservation) most dates, except there are blockout dates during select holiday periods.

Here’s a look at the Sorcerer Pass Blockout Calendar. Select dates near Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve are blocked out, but many others are available.

Disney Incredi-Pass

Finally, we reach the last new ticket option — the Incredi-Pass. This pass is not subject to any blockout dates, so guests with this pass will be able to enter the Disney World theme parks on any day of their choosing (provided they obtain a Park Pass reservation).

And that’s a look at the current blockout dates for the NEW Disney World Annual Pass options. Again, keep in mind that regardless of what the blockout calendar shows, those with an Annual Pass will need a Park Pass reservation in order to enter a Disney World theme park on any given day.
