What’s New in Magic Kingdom: Casey’s Corner Reopens and MYSTERIOUS Barricades!

Who doesn’t love making a visit to Magic Kingdom?

Magic Kingdom

We’ve dropped by a few times over the last few days to dream about the new scene coming to Mickey’s PhilharMagic, plot our game plan for the soon-to-come extended theme park hours, and stare longingly at the almost-reopened Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. But we also checked in on the latest news! Here’s everything NEW in food, construction, and merchandise in Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom Food Updates

Casey’s Corner

AT LONG LAST. Casey’s Corner has reopened in Magic Kingdom and we are FINALLY reunited with the Casey’s Corn Dog Nuggets, Hot Dogs, and PLASTIC CHEESE. After an adorable first pitch courtesy of the Cast Members at this spot, guests were welcomed in once again.

Who’s hungry?

We are SO excited that this fan-favorite option has reopened.

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

Main Street, U.S.A.

Moving on to construction, there were some barricades up outside the entrance to Magic Kingdom. They were not in use during our visit.

Barricades

We noticed that the train station scrim had some patriotic bunting added as you enter Main Street, U.S.A. but it did not extend farther into the park. This is probably the first sign of the 4th of July decorations!

Frontierland

The bridge in front of Splash Mountain had a surprisingly large barricade sitting on it. Hmm…we wonder what the deal is there!

Fantasyland

We noticed some repainting going on at Beast’s Castle above Be Our Guest Restaurant

…and there were some new Little Mermaid wooden benches outside of Ariel’s Grotto.

Tomorrowland

In Tomorrowland, we spotted some repaving in some of the main pathways.

Over at TRON Lightcycle Run, the HUGE crane that has been here for a while is coming down!

Transportation and Ticket Center

Finally, we spotted that repainting is ongoing still at the Transportation and Ticket Center. As of our last visit, the Express Monorail had been painted and the Resorts Monorail was in the process of being painted.
