What Do Disney World Hotel Prices Look Like for the Week of Christmas?

We’re around the corner from a LOT of important holidays and events in Disney World with the 4th of July (including the return of fireworks), the 50th-anniversary celebrations, and Halloween with the BOO Bash’s debut.

Happily Ever After

But, you’re probably already looking ahead to the plans you’re going to make throughout the year, including Christmas time! While we don’t know exactly what events will be taking place around then (like whether Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will return or not), guests are already booking their hotels this early in the summer. And, if you plan on heading to Disney World for Christmas, we’re breaking down the resort prices you need to know before you book!

We took a look at the Walt Disney World website during the week of Christmas from December 19th through December 26th at the prices for the tiers of Value, Moderate, and Deluxe Resorts.

It’s Santa!

The Value Resorts regularly start as low as $112, depending on the season. However, the least pricey options of the on-property Disney hotels are a lot more expensive than usual due to the time of the year. The starting price we saw during Christmas Week was at $248 per night at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, ranging all the way up to $310 at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

The Moderate tier also has some high fluctuations in its pricing, differing from its starting point at around $220 per night. Instead, the least expensive hotel option was over at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for $351 per night, followed by Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort at $412. However, the prices LEAPT up to $690 (!!!) per night for the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge, surpassing the lowest price for the Deluxe Resorts during that same week.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge sits at the “cheapest” price point for the Deluxe Resorts at $668 per night, which is a huge hike compared to its base cost that usually would be around $430. A few of the other Deluxe Resorts have offers in the range of $738 to $774 per night

…including Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resorts.

Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resorts still don’t quite reach the peak of $1,000 per night, making Disney’s Grand Floridian and Disney Contemporary Resorts the most expensive hotels during Christmas Week at $1,016 and $1,055 respectively.

There are a few resorts that are currently listed as unavailable during Christmas Week. Disney’s Swan and Dolphin, Disney’s Old Key West, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resorts. The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness also have no availability, most likely meaning that many of the rooms or campsites have been booked up during that time of the holiday season.

The Walt Disney Website also lists Disney’s All-Star Sports and Music Resorts, as well as Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter and Riverside as unavailable at this time. But, that’s due to the fact that these hotels haven’t reopened to guests just yet (but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more details soon)!

Of course, prices could fluctuate over the coming months with more or less availability at the resorts. But, if you do plan on heading to Disney World during Christmas, it is expected to be a busy time of the year. So, you may want to look into booking your hotels sooner rather than later, as resorts and Park Passes could sell out quickly. As more details about the holiday season are announced, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. In the meantime, stay tuned with DFB for the latest Disney news you need to know!
