REVIEW: We’re Trying Space Fruit Sticks and Pork Rinds at Ronto Roasters in Disney World

Between the Disney Springs Flavors of Florida event happening now and the upcoming 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, there are a LOT of new foods coming to Disney World.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Yesterday we learned that Disney shared details about seven new dishes coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and today we were able to try two of these new eats!

We found two new dishes at Ronto Roasters, a quick service restaurant in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge known for their signature Ronto Wrap. You can now enjoy the Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce and the Kyryll Pork Rinds! They look really unique.

New Rontos Roasters eats!

Let’s start with the Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce! This fruit cup comes with jicama sticks, cucumber, pineapple, melon, and dragon fruit doused in a tamarind sauce and dusted with peppercorn ash. This is a plant-based snack!

Space fruit?

This unique treat comes in a plastic cup with a lid so you can snack on-the-go and costs $6.99.

We were a little wary of this fruit cup but it was delicious! The fruit was fresh and crisp and the tamarind sauce was spicy and flavorful. If you like a little spicy heat in your food, this may be a great treat for you! We recommend splitting the fruit cup and a Ronto Wrap for a refreshing contrast.

Yum

And the Kyryll Pork Rinds are pork rinds seasoned in ancho chili, cheddar, smoke, and cinnamon. The pork rinds are served in a brown bag, which makes them another easy on-the-go snack. They cost $7.49.

Kyryll Pork Rinds

We thought the pork rinds were AMAZING. They were super crisp and the mix of smoky/spicy/cheesy/cinnamon seasoning works! There was a LOT of seasoning, which isn’t totally a bad thing, but it did get everywhere!

Lots of extra seasoning in the bottom of the bag

You can taste all the different ingredients in the seasoning (even the cinnamon!) as they work to complement each flavor. If you’re really hungry, you may want to opt for a Ronto Wrap, but as a unique crunchy snack, they’re delicious. You can also order these in a souvenir MSE-6 Droid bucket for $19.99.

Check out that coating!

These new Disney World snacks are really unique and refreshing and we’re excited! Stay tuned for more reviews from DFB as we look for the five other new dishes coming soon to Star Wars; Galaxy’s Edge!
