NEWS: Update on Early Theme Park Entry in Disney World!

While many experiences have returned to Disney World since reopening, one BIG perk has been missing.

Cinderella Castle

That’s Early Entry for Disney World resort guests! The perk allows guests staying at Disney World hotels to enter the theme parks BEFORE regular guests. Disney recently announced that Early Theme Park Entry would be replacing the former Extra Magic Hours, and now we’re getting a peek at what this revamped perk will look like!

We already know that Early Theme Park Entry will let Disney World resort guests enter each theme park prior to park opening.

Animal Kingdom

This new system is set to begin on Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1st of this year along with the kick-off of 50th Anniversary celebrations!

Spaceship Earth

The offering will give Disney World Resort hotel guests early entry into EVERY theme park EVERY day to enjoy select attractions, merchandise, and food and beverage locations. Guests will need a valid Disney Park Pass for the park that they enter for Early Theme Park Entry.

Cinderella Castle

These guests will be the first each day to take in that EAR-idescent theming for the 50th! Those attending should bring their Resort ID (MagicBand, Keys to the World Card, etc.).

NEWS: Extended Evening Theme Park Hours Announced for SELECT Disney World Guests!

With the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations approaching quickly, we’ve been seeing a lot of preparations and changes underway!

Look at those sparkly details!

Fireworks have returned to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, Cinderella Castle has already gotten a royal makeover, and there are even more rides, restaurants, and shops to come when October 1st kicks off. But, even with all the exciting things announced for the 18-month long part-ay, some Disney-goers are wondering when perks like FastPass+ and Extra Magic Hours (or its upcoming replacement — Early Theme Park Entry) will come back. And, if you’re one of those folks, we’ve got a brand new update for you!

Beginning in early October, the Disney World Parks will offer Extended Evening Theme Park Hours for select guests, giving them extra hours in the parks!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios at night

According to Disney, the new perk will only be available to guests who are staying at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Walt Disney World Resort hotel for the length of their stay. So, this will be an added perk for those staying in Disney World at a higher price level.

EPCOT entrance at night

At this time, Disney has not announced how much extra time there will be, what dates Extended Evening Hours will be available, or what parks will feature the perk.

Guests attending Extended Evening Hours will need a valid ticket and Disney Park Pass for that theme park. Alternatively, they may visit with a Park Hopper as long as they scanned into their Park Pass-reserved park at some time earlier in the day.

How gorgeous is this?!

During the extended hours, select attractions, merchandise, and food and beverage locations will be available. Guests will need to bring a form of Resort ID such as a MagicBand or Keys to the World card.

Magic Kingdom

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details on the new perk, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest!
