Disney recently announced a plan to set sail on a test cruise on June 29th, but today we learned that this test cruise has not continued as planned.

WESH reported that the test cruise scheduled for Disney Cruise Line today, June 29th, has been postponed. This test cruise was supposed to set sail from Port Canaveral in Florida, and was a step toward fulfilling CDC requirements to resume sailing. A test cruise is a 2-night simulated stay with volunteers onboard. There is no new date set for a test cruise at this time.

WESH relayed the statement from Disney Cruise Line, “We are delaying our simulation cruise due to a small number of inconsistent COVID-19 test results, which are considered positive by the CDC. The rigorous health and safety protocols we have in place helped us identify the situation, though the test results were ultimately negative.”
