NEW Food, Character Appearances, and MORE Coming to Disney World This Month!

If you’re visiting Disney World in May, there are some new additions you’ll want to know about!

Welcome to Disney Springs!

In the past few months, we’ve celebrated Black History Month, Women’s History Month, and Earth Month. May is Asian Pacific American Heritage month and Disney World has some celebrations in store!

Disney World is honoring the talents, cultures, and contributions of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community with unique and special offerings. Disney mentioned that several of these additions will last beyond May, so don’t worry about missing out if you aren’t visiting this month!

Magic Kingdom

In the Magic Kingdom, Mulan and Moana are joining the line-up of characters featured in the character cavalcades. They will also wave to guests from above at the Main Street Railroad Station.

We’ve already seen these two characters out in the parks, but it looks like they will be sticking around for a while after celebrating the month!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is offering two experiences to celebrate this month! In mid-May, you’ll be able to check out the Moana sand sculpture on Discovery Island. If it’s as incredible as the Raya and the Last Dragon sand sculpture, we’re in for a treat!

The Animation Experience at Conservation Station

The Animation Experience at Conservation Station will feature sketches of Pua from Moana and Tuk Tuk from Raya and the Last Dragon!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Mira from Mira, Royal Detective is back in the Disney Junior Motorcade, and she will be available for special appearances until the end of June!

Hi, Mira!

This past weekend, Mira was already out greeting guests from a distance near Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. She was in the Disney Junior Motorcade for a weekend back in October, but it looks like she’ll be back for a little while!

Check out Mira in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

EPCOT

To start the celebrations in EPCOT, Mulan will join the Princess Processional around World Showcase!
