Disney World Cast Members Receive Special Nametags for 50th Anniversary

Whenever I stop to chat with a cast member at Disney, I always look at their nametag to see where they’re from. I love it when they’re either from my hometown or somewhere close to it, but I also love it when they’re from somewhere I’ve visited because it gives us something in common to talk about. I enjoy hearing about what brought them to Disney and how they decided to become a cast member.

Over the past few months, Disney has shared a few of the ways they’re getting ready to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, and today, they’ve shared something that’s just for cast members.

Yes, it’s part of their uniforms, but the new nametags cast members will receive this fall have not only that familiar shape we all know and love, but they’ve got the same “EARidescent” look that Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse have in their costumes for the special occasion. I love the attention to detail that Disney pays with each and everything they do – it’s my favorite thing about them.

Please take a peek at the video below and watch how these special nametags are being made all the way down to the color choice for the cast members’ names that match the blue we see on the turrets of Cinderella Castle!
