Review: A Disney World Cake Looks Just Like an Avocado, and We Can’t Stop Staring

It’s the last day of April, which means May the Fourth is just around the corner!

Want to Pilot the Millennium Falcon?

That’s Star Wars Day in case you didn’t know — and there are so many ways to celebrate it in Disney World! Not only can you order some adorable tees or collectibles before your trip, but Disney is offering several galactic treats surrounding the holiday. Today, we got to try a returning treat inspired by Baby Yoda himself!

When The Child Mousse arrived at Amorette’s Patisserie in November, we were in love. Now, the Baby Yoda-themed cake is BACK (with a new name!), and we’re trying it out again to see if it still holds up.

The Grogu Mousse has the same ingredients as The Child Mousse from last year. That’s vanilla chiffon cake, white chocolate mousse, cookies and cream mousse, and cookie crumbs!

Grogu Mousse

Like The Child Mousse, this treat was light and pillowy, with a jiggly JELLO-like texture.

He’s a cutie!

The mix of flavors was subtle and not overly sweet. Most people would be fans of the basic combo of vanilla, white chocolate, and cookies and cream!

As for the mousse? It was smooth and creamy and melted right in our mouths. Yum!

Just look how jiggly!

If you cut this little guy open, you’ll see that combo of 2 mousses and cookie crumbs layered inside the cake itself. And we’ve gotta say, it looks JUST like an avocado. Anyone else?! (No, seriously. We can’t unsee it now.).

Um…is that an avocado?!

But instead, you’ve got a classic, not-too-sweet dessert that most people would love. If you’re lookin’ for an intensely chocolately or sweet dessert, this isn’t for you! But if you’re on the hunt for something fun, kid-friendly, and photo-worthy, we recommend grabbing this mini cake. It’ll be all yours for $9!

YUM!

The Child Mousse sold out SUPER fast last year, and we’re expecting this treat to do the same! So hurry over to Amorette’s Patisserie if you want to give it a try. We’ll be checking out all of the May the 4th treats around Disney World, so stay tuned for more food reviews!
