Mini Kitchen Sinks Are BACK in Magic Kingdom — But Prepare to Be Disappointed

Love ice cream? Love Minnie Mouse? Okay, great, then you’ve GOT to see what we found today in Magic Kingdom!

WHAT. A. VIEW.

A few great Disney snacks have been reappearing recently. Not too long ago, the spring roll cart in Magic Kingdom reopened with a secret menu item, and we found that the chocolate Mickey waffle sundaes in that cool collectible bowl were BACK at BoardWalk Bakery. But today we found that an ice cream treat in a VERY special Minnie Mouse theme is BACK in Magic Kingdom. Anyone up for a little kitchen sink action?!

YES! That’s right folks — the Minnie Mouse Mini Kitchen Sink is BACK in Magic Kingdom!! We spotted this special treat and container in Magic Kingdom at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor back in 2018 as part of the celebrations for Mickey’s 90th birthday. This Minnie Mouse themed treat was also available when we checked in early 2019 as well.

You can still get this special treat over at Beaches & Cream. But, it’s been some time since we’ve seen this special ice cream treat and container available in Magic Kingdom, and the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor continues to be closed in the park.

As we walked through Magic Kingdom today, though, we found that Storybook Treats was serving up the Minnie Mouse Mini Kitchen Sink!!! And, OF COURSE, we had to check it out!

Did Someone Say Kitchen Sink?!

The original Minnie Kitchen Sink from the Plaza came with two scoops of your choice of ice cream topped with hot fudge, whipped cream, cherries, and your choice of peanut butter or caramel served in a Minnie Kitchen Sink souvenir bowl.

This modified version still comes in the same great container, but comes with slightly different items. For this Minnie Kitchen Sink, you can get your choice of a strawberry or hot fudge sundae with whipped cream topping.

We Gotta Check It Out!!

Also, keep in mind that right now the ice cream actually comes on the side. The Cast Members will not place the ice cream inside of the Minnie container for you. But, you could dump it in there if you want to!

It’s BAAAAACK

Today, we went with the hot fudge sundae for our choice.

Just Don’t Wait Too Long to Eat It or It Will Melt!

One BIG difference between this modified version and the one you used to be able to get at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is that the ice cream served with this Kitchen Sink doesn’t even come CLOSE to filling up the souvenir container! So, just be prepared for it to look kind-of sad and disappointing if you pour it in there. It’s not exactly the kitchen sink we were picturing!

At least from what we’ve experienced, you used to get WAYY more ice cream in the version that was sold in the Plaza. Take a look at the photo below of the O.G. version below for comparison. YEAHHH, that’s a BIG difference!!

Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae

So, that’s something to keep in mind. A normal hot fudge sundae at Storybook Treats will set you back $5.49. The Minnie Mouse Kitchen Sink is priced at $16.99. So, basically you’re paying about $11.50 for that souvenir container.

Would You Gab This Special Treat?

If you want to grab this souvenir container (or the Mickey pants version) with a MUCH more substantial amount of ice cream and other treats, you can head over to Beaches & Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. There, the Mickey and Minnie Souvenir Sinks come with Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry Ice Cream topped with Pineapple, Strawberry, Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, Whipped Cream, Oreo Cookies, chewy Brownie, and an assortment of Sprinkles and Morsels and Cherries. Talk about a difference!

But, there’s also a price difference. These mini kitchen sinks at Beaches & Cream are $23, which is more expensive than the one you’ll get in Magic Kingdom.

Would You Prefer the Beaches and Cream Version?

Overall, the choice is yours. If you’re looking to grab the Minnie Mouse Kitchen Sink in Magic Kingdom, you can head to Storybook Treats. But if you want to get it with more ice cream and other snacks inside, and get a better value overall, it looks like Beaches & Cream is where you’ll want to go.

We’ll keep an eye out for more great Disney snacks and collectible items all over Disney World. Stay tuned for all the latest updates!
