PHOTOS & VIDEOS: First Look at Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure

For the first time in OVER a year, we’re enjoying so tons of different areas in Disney California Adventure Park (DCA) as part of the “A Touch of Disney” ticketed event.

Lamplight Lounge

During this event, there are Disney characters all around, special new music, and even awesome photo ops. But, there’s also FOOD!! Lamplight Lounge has been closed at DCA since last year…until NOW. We had QUITE the interesting time getting a reservation for this spot, but now we finally got the chance to step inside! Want to take a look at this beautiful restaurant with us? Of course you do! Let’s go!!

Atmosphere

If you’re wondering where Lamplight Lounge is located, it’s over in the Pixar Pier area of the park.

Pixar Pier

A few years ago, Lamplight Lounge actually took over what was once Cove Bar (upstairs) and Ariel’s Grotto (downstairs).

The restaurant actually pays tribute to the films of Pixar AND the artists who bring Pixar stories to life. Basically, if you’re a Pixar fan, you’re going to LOVE it here! We were seated outside for our meal, but you can get a FULL look at the decor in Lamplight Lounge by taking a peek at our review from when it first opened.

Click here to get a FULL look at all of the Lamplight Lounge Pixar decor and hear about the restaurant’s backstory.

Lamplight Lounge is only offering outdoor seating at this time. As is to be expected due to COVID-19 regulations, we noticed that the tables were spread out with plenty of room.

Undoubtedly though, one of the BIG draws of Lamplight Lounge is its view of Pixar Pier. We could sit here and look at this view ALL DAY.

The gorgeous view

Okay, but enough about the atmosphere already!

After we checked in for our dining reservation it was time to get EATING!

Food

During A Touch of Disney, Lamplight Lounge will be offering a few main food items, kids’ items, novelty items (including those Sapphire Glow Cubes we’ve seen before), and some assorted wine, beer, and more.

When we were seated, we were given a paper menu!

The menu features a selection of food from Lobster Nachos to Burgers…

…and several Pixar-themed cocktails.

Cocktail Menu

We started out with two secret menu drinks which includes the Neverland Iced Tea

…and the Fun Wheel! Both of these drinks have been favorites of ours since this location was still The Cove Bar!

For our trip, we decided to grab the Angus Beef Sliders made with Beer and bacon cheese sauce, tomato-habanero chutney, lettuce, and pickled onions on toasted Amish buns.

We also tried the Lobster Nachos made of warm lobster with black beans, aged cheddar-Oaxaca cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and chipotle crema.

That’s a HEFTY meal. We’ll be bringing you a FULL review of the items later, but we couldn’t wait to share these mouth-watering photos with you and give you a first look at this newly reopened spot!

Overall, many of the procedures we experienced here are similar to what was done at Carthay Circle Lounge previously in terms of mask requirements and social distancing. Stay tuned for our full review and more photos, videos, and ALL kinds of details from A Touch of Disney!
