NEWS: Disneyland to Use Theme Park Reservation System Upon Reopening

We officially have a Disneyland reopening date!

After a year of being closed, we finally have a date that Disneyland theme parks are expected to reopen. Now, we’re working on fleshing out the details of what that reopening might look like and what YOU need to be able to get into the Disneyland parks.

The Disneyland theme parks will reopen on April 30th, 2021. Similar to the procedures in Walt Disney World, Disney has announced that Disneyland will be using a theme park reservation system upon reopening.

The use of the reservation system helps to monitor entry since theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing. These reservations will need to be made in advance.

Just like in Disney World, guests ages 3 and up will need both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date to enter the park. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks.

As a note, guests with valid theme park admission who are staying at the reopened Disneyland Resort hotels will also need to book theme park reservations in advance. So, a hotel stay does NOT guarantee a park reservation.

Screams can often be heard coming out of Matterhorn in Disneyland!

More details about the new theme park reservation system for Disneyland will be available soon. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates on theme park reservations and tickets, hotel details, and reservations.
