It may be something of an off-and-on overcast day in Disney World, but it’s a SUNSHINE DAY in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

That’s because Sunshine Day Bar has reopened to guests! Sunshine Day Bar is located on Sunset Boulevard, right near eateries including Rosie’s All-American Café, Anaheim Produce, and Hollywood Scoops that all come together to create Sunset Ranch Market.

Sunshine Day Bar was previously known as Sunshine Day Café (and, before that, the spot served as Toluca Legs Turkey Company).

But now it’s back to offering what had become its standard menu prior to the Walt Disney World closures: a few signature cocktails — the Cherry Blossom, Southside Fizz, and Blackberry Moonshine Lemonade — along with a full bar.

We learned that they are considering today as a soft open for Sunshine Day, and right now it’s looking like the spot will typically be open Fridays through Sundays (though that’s always subject to change).

And you may recall that Sunshine Day Bar was already something of a seasonal location. We’ve certainly noticed that there has been a line at the nearby Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge on most of our recent visits, so having another option will definitely be a good thing, especially for this busier holiday season!

We’ve seen LOTS of news about Hong Kong Disneyland this year.

Hong Kong Disneyland was among the earlier parks to close due to the COVID-19 outbreak, originally shutting down in January 2020. The park reopened in June only to close again in July because of a rise in Coronavirus cases in the area. On September 25th, the park reopened for a second time, remaining open for the last two months. Disney CEO Bob Chapek reported that Hong Kong Disneyland was one of the parks to actually achieve a net positive contribution in Q4, AND the park recently unveiled its Castle of Magical Dreams. But now, things are changing at Hong Kong Disneyland again as Disney has announced that the park will closing for a third time this year.

We began to hear reports that the park may close again due to a rise in COVID-19 case numbers, but those rumors have just been confirmed with an official announcement from Disney Parks News via Twitter. As the announcement notes, Hong Kong Disneyland will be temporarily closing again on December 2nd “as required by the government and in line with preventative efforts taking place across Hong Kong.” No reopening date has specifically been set. Instead, Disney has noted that it is in close contact with health authorities and the government and will announce a reopening date once they determine it is advisable.

The park is also scheduled to be closed on December 1st. So, the park will essentially be temporarily closed from now until a reopening date is officially set. The Hong Kong Disneyland website has also been updated to reflect this temporary closure.

We’ll keep an eye on any further news about Hong Kong Disneyland, as well as the other international parks. At the moment, Walt Disney World Resort, Shanghai Disneyland, and Tokyo Disney Resort are open. Disneyland Resort in California is currently unable to reopen under the state’s theme park reopening guidelines. Disneyland Paris reopened earlier this year, but has recently closed for a second time due to Coronavirus cases in France, and has announced that it will be closed throughout the holiday season. The post BREAKING NEWS: Hong Kong Disneyland is Closing for the THIRD Time This Year first appeared on the disney food blog.

EPCOT offers some of the best dining and best lounges out of all the Walt Disney World theme parks. But, sometimes you don’t want the full sit down experience. Here’s the best places to grab a quick adult beverage while at EPCOT. Just keep in mind, eating and drinking cannot be done while walking around. You need to be stationary as a COVID-19 precaution.

Our website and Lines app has ratings for every Walt Disney World restaurant and bar, based on over 500,000 reader surveys received over the past few years. Here are the highest rated bars in EPCOT. Note that not all of these locations are necessarily a place for a quick drink, but they are the highest rated–more about that below.

1. Japan’s Sake Bar 95.4% – Much Above Average – Temporarily Unavailable
2. La Cava del Tequila 93.9% – Much Above Average
3. Rose and Crown Pub 93.4%- Much Above Average
4. Choza de Margarita 93.0% – Much Above Average
5. Germany Weinkeller 91.6% – Average

The top rated bar in EPCOT is a hidden gem. Tucked in the back left corner of the Japan Pavilion, inside the Mitsokushi department store, you’ll find a counter that sells a variety of sake. Right now this spot is temporary unavailable, but there is an outdoor bar known as the Garden House. You’ll find beer, sake, sake cocktails, and non-alcoholic specialty drinks.

Over at the Mexico Pavilion is both La Cava del Tequila and Choza de Margarita. Both options offer delicious margaritas, but La Cava is inside the pyramid building and can sometimes not be as quick as Choza de Margarita, which is outside the building. However, as a COVID-19 precaution, La Cava is currently serving their famous margaritas to-go only.

The Rose and Crown Pub at the United Kingdom Pavilion does offer drinks to-go, but it is hard to leave the authentic pub atmosphere. There is also a small kiosk out front of the pub that sells a selection of draft beer. Finally, there is a small, tucked-away wine bar inside the Germany Pavilion. Weinkeller is a small walk-up counter with some high top tables for enjoying a glass of German wine while being surrounded by bottles of wine. It’s cozy little nook and great if you want to sip a nice Riesling either in the cellar or outside by the water.

You can also mobile order from any of the available quick service restaurants at EPCOT, though there are only two options at this park. Sunshine Seasons has beer, wine, and canned cocktails available through mobile ordering. Regal Eagle Smokehouse a large selection of craft beers, some nice wine selections, and a pre-made Tennessee Lemonade cocktail all available through mobile ordering. Just outside of Regal Eagle is an outdoor walk-up bar with some fantastic cocktail options.

There’s something so special about picking out a MagicBand in Disney World!

They’re such a fun part of a Disney vacation, and there are so many colors and patterns to choose from! Even though they’ll no longer be free with a resort reservation in 2021, we’re still seeing Disney rolling out new designs. Today we found a new MagicBand in Disney World that cat lovers are sure to appreciate!

We spotted the Dooney & Bourke Disney Cats MagicBand in Legends of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today. Isn’t it just purr-ific?!

Featuring cats from various Disney movies, this MagicBand was made for the feline fanatics! It’s a limited edition of 2000 though, so those who want one will need to snag it fast.

This new band will cost you $58, and we spotted it in Legends of Hollywood, but we’ll be on the lookout for it to show up in other stores at Disney World. 

The new design matches Dooney’s latest round of bags that we spotted in the parks not too long ago.

We love all the little details like the “it’s a small world” bowl!
